Back in the 70's truck doors were a 1/2 day job as a rule. Labour rates about $25! Three times that to cover overheads/profit etc and yer still only $75.
Nowdays, vinyl/print jockeys are happy to get that per door 35 years later!
You change that mentality by painting on things vinyl and print don't stick to!

Going back to the 50's, $25.00 was the rate for a pair of truck doors. Now everything is $125.00 and higher.

Yeah.....what Jon said!
I started out in the early 70's and it took only a thimble full of paint to complete a couple of truck doors so I guess most of that $75.00 was all profit!

I can remember getting my pick up lettered in Rahway, N.J. in 1964. It cost $20. Three colors on what I would consider these days as a "knockout".
