POLKA...never a sad song. Ray Dorschner, Peter and Paul Wendinger, Marv Nissle,Leon Olson and his Mississippi Valley Dutchman, Malaks Fisherman. Focusing and thinking are very hard tasks for me as well, but I DID put my own shoes on today!

Sometimes when I want something soothing I'll listen to Atreyu, Slipknot, Sences Fail, and Emery. When I'm in the mood for something really hardcore I'll put on Enya.

Depends what I'm working on. Here at the sign shop I perfer 80s rock like Poison or Motley Crue, but at home if I'm cleaning the house or something I usually go for some newer style rock or metal. I also find Weezer works quite well for almost all occasions except maybe driving, even then though, still pretty good.

Phillips Craig & Dean, some Mercy Me, and a bit of Natalie Grant, but only if things are going smoothly.
Otherwise it is a book on CD.

If I have my ipod its live bluegrass or live Grateful Dead. If you have a chance try tuning in to WNCW at wncw.org. Public radio from Western North Carolina. One minute you hear Robert Johnson the next you'll hear the Grateful Dead. It is a beautiful thing. Let me know what you think.
KICK OUT THE JAMS!

I have a Johann Strauss cd -New Year's Eve concert in Vienna 1992 I think and it's great! Also Harry Chapin- but only while working on 'no brainer' stuff. If I have to think carefully, I prefer silence- no radio, nothing, just the birds etc.

Si Your not weird! I listen to CBC all day long.
I worked at a place were everyone worked in a stale area. Everyone had their own radio..... One was blasting Rock the next was blasting Country or Opera.
It got to the point of being nothing but noise!
I went in early one morning with a tube of Krazy Glue and tuned all radios to CBC. then glued all the dials so they couldn't change them again!!!!!! LOL

I gotta get me some of that high speed stuff. Radio here sucks. I can get WNCW in town on the truck radio, And WETS, but hardly anything at the shop. I think about one of those FM antennas sometimes. Don't know if they will do me any good or not. Anybody living out in the rural jungle got one?

I'm like Nettie, if thinking is required, then I like silence. IF we have control over the music, I like happy, up tempo stuff. Usually, since we are a mobile service, we tend to be at the mercy of whatever the customer is listening to. In that case I can listen to just about anything and be OK with it. I will, however , politely tell them to turn off any rap, talk radio or religious shows.

I second that. When I am working in the shop, I turn on Sirus satalite radio to 23 Hair Nation. Poison and the Crue are my favorite groups, along with Ratt, Cinderella, and Def Lepard.
I have started getting more into country. I like Toby Keith..

I myself really enjoy music on all the time if possible. If you've been to a Walldog meet, perhaps you've seen or should I say heard my Mural painting tune box.
I use an iPod which is up to around 4000 songs. I have most groups on it that have been mentioned above and some that you might not have heard of at all. Supreme Beings of Leisure, Grace Potter?
Then again I don't have any of that Polka stuff...That Meyers guy definitely dances to a different drummer!
When I put the old Pod on shuffle, you never know what you're gonna get.
