I've used all versions of Flexi (since about v.1) and liked them all. Been using 8.1 for several months and am very satisfied. Works good for my digital prints but I'm not a digital production house. If that's your plan you may want something else. I print banners, some panels and small signs when it's more appropriate or easier than weeding vinyl.
Good luck.

I could be wrong as I don't use Flexi, but I'm pretty confident you'll find that an alternate program such as Photoshop or similar would suit you better for digital creation & reworking.
Once the image is created or "tweaked" in the alternate program, I think most sign programs including Flexi can do a great job of outputting the print & tiling if needed.
Good luck in your search Mark.

Mark, Flexi Pro has a rip included. I use 7.6 & am completely satisfied with it. Others pay big bucks for a stand-alone rip... but I find Flexi's to be all I need.
I set up rastor images in photoshop, but I can merge them with vector cut files in Flexi & output them both from there. Adobe won't halp you there, so if it's not Flexi it's going to be something else... or worse yet 2 other software purchases (if those fancy rips don't handle cut data)
