I was called to help (consult) on a big print project for a fleet of buses. Had to visit with a manager there.
Couldnt' wait to leave the noise, cigarette smoke and the look of losers everywhere.
I did have dinner a few times at this casino at thier steak house. No gambling!
It makes me wonder what the attraction is about losing money.

Just completed a large glass etching project for Dover Downs.
Wife is the big gambler in this family. But big for her maybe $100 every few months, unless on a cruise, then she'll budget about $250 for the entire cruise. Good thing about her, is that she usually breaks even or a little lost! Me, I lose, lose, lose, and sometimes - lose!
My biggest gamble is about to pay off next weekend. My son is graduating from WV! So proud of him!

We go maybe twice a year...hey, they're less than an hour away. We each take $20 to gamble with. When it's gone or one of us wins a couple of hundred we split.
About ten years back I did a construction site fence at the Horeshoe. 8' high 1200' long, loaded with copy and pictorials.

I find them oppressive. The constant weird drone of all those machines creeps me out. I feel sorry for all the oldsters relentlessly swiping their cards on the slots in Salamanca or Mountaineer. The cigarettes are stinky, but the food was pretty good. Never got one free drink from a pretty waitress tho. What boggled my mind in Vegas was seeing so many young parents pushing babies in strollers thru the smoky casinos. I'm too cheap to gamble. Love....Jill

Yes Jack, I do signs for them and go once in a while to check out the environment the signs are in. They give us a lot of work and as Dale said they keep our taxes down. As a rule, the restaurants are a pretty good deal if you can stand the noise. Also, there are some pretty good blues shows once in a while at Crystal Bay Casino in Tahoe. Charlie Musselwhite was there a couple of weeks ago. Curtis Salgado is next month, for free!

I used to go to the Injun Casion near me to buy inexpensive cigars and get a great meal, for a much lower price than a "Buffet" restaurant..well, the honeymoon's over, and the prices are up to all the rest, so no real draw to go...even the big name entertainment doesn't come here anymore...I did see the Everly Bros. a few years back..still sounding great! Charlie Musselwhite...wow! saw him in Milwaukee at Sommerfest..really kick ass!
The best casino I was in was the Midnight Satr in Deadwood South Dakota, Noel Weber Gold Leaf on the windows...fabulous stuff! It's half owned by Kevin Costner and all his costumes from movies are displayed upstairs...

My Buddy back in Iowa owns one of the best little blues bars in the country, National acts every week and it only seats 190. I really got spoiled back there. Saw just about everybody on the circuit. No slot machines... but the drinks were cheap.

Here in the UK they are just about to start building the first ones and coming from a country where gambling is legal anywhere, every town has at least 2 or 3 bookmakers, it really doesn't bother me gambling is a mugs game and the only people that benefit are the government and the owners i don't even bother with the ridiculous national lottery we have.

Yeah, when I lived in Hattiesburg, we would go down and hit 3 or 4 casinos. The last one would be Boomtown on the Back Bay, just because we really liked the buffet.
I prefer blackjack, so the casinos down south have the table games, but up here at Dover, all they have are the slots. I have only been once in the last 8 years.

Do you know that the casino owners do not gamble? That should tell you something.
