We just got news that Bob Burrows died last Thursday. Bob was a dear friend, mentor, and fellow Letterhead. He will be missed.
I'm trying to locate a good photo of Bob. I know Doug Downey will be thinking about a trip we took with Bob and Millie to a meet in Indiana.
Bob lived most of his adult life in a wheelchair, but I never heard him complain. He built a sucessful sign business in Elmira, Ontario. As I young guy trying to learn to letter, I heard many stories about the legendary Bob Burrows. Unlike others, Bob was more than willing to share all the secrets I wanted to learn. Thank You Bob.
I'd like to invite those of you who knew Bob to homor his memory with your personal Bob Burrows stories and/or photos. Here is the Obituary.

Oh Yes that infamous first letterhead meet to Evansville Indiana! Bob was a great man and as Steve said never complained! I can still remember pushing him in his wheelchair across the parking lot to get dinner and his leg would get these major shakes and I would be kidding him about it "Breaking apart Scotty". Bob being confined to a wheelchair could not just jump out of the van and go to the washroom on our travels so he would ask Millie to pass him the CUP! He was a very talented guy who in his later years began to play with computers. He followed my lead when we computerized and he was right behind me watching what I was doing. He will be missed in the industry!

Yes; he was a great old fellow! My parrents owned a tent and trailer camp ground and the Burrows family used to be there from time to time camping. Bob and I would have met when I was just first starting into the airbrush work and at some of the first local letterhead get togethers put on by Steve and Barb. Those were some good times. He will certainly be missed.

I was just wondering what became of Bob a couple days ago, I think about him sometimes when i'm having one of those "my life is hard" days and feeling a bit of self pity. Too bad the sos picnics fell apart when we all used to get together, I think the last time i saw him he was cruzin around my yard in his BigWheel, showing me computer generated sketches he'd done when i was still bc.I think i have more shortreed and downey stories than bob stories tho! did he have an email
