Almost lifted a 200lb preacher curl today... I was able to get it up off the rack then stalled halfway through the movement. Will try again next Monday. Gotta say though, 185 (my previous high point) was much easier this morning than it was last time.
Also thanks to the assisted pull-up/dip machine, I was able to do a pull-up with 190lbs of my bodyweight. I'm pretty stoked about that but the day I can lift the full 250lbs I'll be bouncing off the walls.

I wanted to wind April's Health Post down on a good note.
I'M BACK!!!!!
Can't tell you how great it is to have my energy levels up again. Although I was plugging along still keeping exercise in the picture, I was doing it feeling quite fatiqued, and with limited enthusiasm.
Boy, you really appreciate feeling good again, when something takes you off course like that.
Mike, I have no idea what a preacher curl is. hahaaa I do hope you are striving to become the incredible hunk, and not the incredible hulk tho.
I'm still wanting to know more about liquid minerals, if anyone (Dave Sherby?) whose involved in them would want to spill some details. Also, that whole ph balance thing interests me. I think Joey touched upon that.
I'll do a goggle on them, but I do like to get info first hand from people who are including stuff like this in their own lives.
A neighbour gave me some juice the other day with this stuff called "Green Vibrance" in it. We just call it "pond scum". hahaha It was surprisingly good. I may invest in some of it. It's ingredients included a whole slew of goodies including Spirulina, Chlorella and several grass, fruit and veggie juices.
Joey, I'm bringing the juicer out again too. Gonna start juicing up some fresh nutrition.
I described the preacher curl in another post, it may have been March's thread.
It's a bicep curl that you do in a seated position on a bench or machine designed for this one exercise. There's a pad that you lean your chest against, and on the opposite side of that pad is another one that you rest your arms on, then you grab the bar with an underhand grip and curl the weight up. If you've ever done resistance training in a gym using weight machines instead of freeweights, you've probably done them before and didn't realize it. My gym has a bench for it so I load up a barbell and go to town. This variation of the bicep curl isolates the biceps more than other bicep exercises like standing barbell or dumbell curls.

That's using both arms at the same time, not just one! Although that would be pretty cool!
Yeah that's a lot of work for biceps but I figure while I'm losing weight, I'll work on my upper body strength, then when the two meet somewhere along the way, I'll be able to do a chin-up without the assisted machine.

I'm 100% raw vegan for 4 or 5 months now. Energy is way, way up, I Work out like a fiend.
I disagree about the mineral thing though. Inorganic minerals, like those from a glacier, are useless to the body, just a burden. Organic minerals, like those from plants, are nutrients.

I've found a brand new dark chocolate, but hard to find. Boccetti brand with cranberries in it. Found my bookeeper selling them (on the front counter, school type bars). OH MY GOSH.... perfect in every way.
Guess that tells you which direction of health I've been heading lately... LOL
