Hi everyone,
I have a CNC router and fabrication shop. I have started to build a small part time business cutting parts and letters for other sign makers. I was wondering if it would be beneficial to create an identity for my business if I'm mostly doing work for the trades or re-sellers?
I have the name of 3D-Sign Works on my tax id.
That name is a little limiting since there seems to be a lot more 2D work out there...channel letters, 2D curved work, etc.
I want to create a LLC for a company called
"Cut It Out"
Would someone be willing to help me with some ideas for a logo?

[Thanks]
John

...I vote for an INDUSTRIAL look. Using a bold 'chunky" font. You could throw in an oversize graphic of a saw blade, or the teeth. A look with deep shadows could help imply dimensionality. And you could even use your logo to make a 'full on' sample of what you do, and use a photograph of it for your card art.
If you are going to market to sign makers, be sure that your logo and image look like you know your sh!t.
ps, welcome to lville.

Good idea Mr. Pickett! I don't like to do any business with someone with a crappy looking logo/sign. I will often go into a business because of their good looking sign/image. And I tell them so.

P.S. The reason I call him MISTER PICKETT is because I sat down and went through his portfolio once at the Detroit letterhead meet. I have a lot of respect for many fine talented people on this board.

Thanks for the responses guys. I'm doing a little back scratching with one of the Letterhead residents on this one.
I'm sure we will both post the outcomes when they are done.

Thanks,
John
