Well we went out last week end and broke our old worlds record.(yup thats right ) lol.. for G-1 Catamaran in our Gas RC cat. It was clocked at going over 67 mph. but they record the up wind / down wind speed and take the average so we clocked offically 66.25 mph for the worlds record.. We actually have held the worlds record in this class for a couple years.. but we raised the speed this year by over 5 mph which is quite an accomplishment..
I have a couple videos on youtube so you can see these boats in action.
Now if you think these boats are easy to drive.. Here is a video of on of our team mates flipping over a crackerbox boat in his first race in that catagory ever.. (he just loves it that i got it on film) rof.. Watch the yellow boat.. also in this video you can hear the count down to the start which gives you an idea of how these races work http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VIoru6WgZ6c
If anyone is interested in seeing rcboat races in their area.. you can go to www.namba.com and see what races are scheduled and where...

Have you got that boat wrapped with a print yet??
I'm into the jetski racing but these little boat races are far more exciting with all the spills, thrills, and not to mention when they run up on shore chasing the spectators away.
