Does anyone know of a good cleaner to use on aluminum enclosed trailers? We are going to letter a used trailer (white) that has a lot of powdery oxidation. We're concerned that the vinyl adhesion may fail if we don't prep it propely first.

I use a cleaner called ZUD it is similar to Comet or Ajax. Works great without the scratching. A quick wipe on and polish it off.

Hiya Tony, One day, I watched a auto detailer take Comet cleaner to a $50K limo. He said it worked great for removing oxidation. So, Similar to what Sam suggested, I would also recommend Bon-Ami Powder. However, I would strongly recommend that you follow up with a good coat of wax or some sort of protectant after it's been lettered.
Havin' fun,

I take all of the screws out and hit it with the buffer and some 3M polishing compound, then a good hand washing to remove all of the buffer fuzz and remaining compound.
