I just noticed that Advantage Sign Supply has a special on the Graptec 70000. Does anyone use a cut like this? Has anyone priced this cutter? Does it work with Omega software? I called the guy that is suppose to be my salesman but he has not called me back. Called this guy in February and he never called me back either. I wanted to upgrade my software.

My rep called me and I found out the answers to all my questions. I now have his cell phone number and they have my correct email address. Two or 3 years ago I changed my email address and didn't tell Advantage. My fault. Well I am happy now. The only thing I would still like to know is:"Does anyone use this cutter?" If so, do you like it? Does it cut scraps good?

I have the FC-5100 for about 2 years and it cuts everything very well. No complaints at all. The 7000 came out about a month or 2 after I bought mine.

Thanks Brian. I was getting worried that no one had one. The 7000 is made to be used as a contour cutter. Later I would like to add a wide-format printer and I wanted the cutter so I could use it with that. The largest printer I want is 48 inch wide and that is only for the reason I want to be able to print banners 48 inches wide. Don't plan on cutting anything wider than 30 inches because I don't think I could handle it by myself. Thanks again for the comment.

We have a 7000 and I've never used it for contour cutting. We do some vinyl and mostly cut sandblast rubber and make pounce patterns. I sure do like it.
If I had it to buy again, I might go Summa though, because I think they're still mad in USA and might reflect a quality that Graphtec had a few years back.
You might do well to find a tech person that can help with the contour cutting and set an agreement there before purchasing equipment. I buy my stuff from where the support comes. Whatever the extra cost is, it's always well worth it.

This cutter really works great & I am very happy with it.
I can not comment on using it with Omega as I use Flexi.
I had a few problems contour cutting any prints over 2' - 2½' wide, but since the latest firmware upgrade, I have had success with images over 6' wide. If you decide to buy one - make sure you download the latest firmware update to get accurate contour cuts.
