One more week for everyone to take advantage of a 15% discount on early registration! If you know that you are coming anyway, why not save some money and in turn help us plan earlier for the meet? Just make out your cheque on or before the deadline of March 9 and drop it in the mail with the registration form. http://moosejawmeet.homestead.com/Registration.html

Oh the joys of waiting for registrants. I know I might sound bossy, but it is true for those planning meets. They need to know how many to plan for, food-wise, door-prize wise, T-Shirts, etc etc. And the funding is needed for deposits to caterers, renting tents and scaffolding, etc etc.
Lots of people jump on the band wagon saying they plan to attend...but no amount of early registration discounts ever seems to get checks in the mail.
Lotti, do you offer a PayPal option? That might help people to sign up more quickly. (from someone whose meet started August 22, if memory serves, who had 21 registrants on August 1 and $20K to come up with, who ended up with 250 attendees the day of the meet. Luckily someone told me to plan for 250 so I was ready, with promises and smiles to my creditors)
If you are limiting your meet as has been suggested it may be wise to plan around that number. Better too much food and too many T-Shirts than not enough. The T-Shirts can always be sold to the townies at the meet. Love...Jill PS And Cat is always the first responder! Must have something to do with her fire training. Jill, there are some practical reasons we decided on cheques for payment. I don't believe it's a big deal for anyone to drop a cheque in the mail. Thanks for helping with some explanations. It would be great to have everyone sign up early, but I realize that it's not going to happen. We'll be ok.

The last meet I had, I was charged a service fee of $8 per international check. They can also take weeks to clear. I suggested PayPal to Stewart for the Tickle. It sped things up for him. It's also great for that impulse attendee who wants to use their credit card for payment. Just trying to help.
