Anyone know what I could use to make a giant stencil that can be reused, like to paint school initials on 50 yard line on football field. Design is nothing elaborate.

Hiya Deb,
How big do you want "giant" to be and what does the design look like?
If it's smaller than 4' x 8', I would just cut a stencil out of thin styrene. If it's larger, you can "tile" the panels. The plus with styrene is that you can easily roll it and dry paint normally flakes off when it's rolled up.
If it's really big, I think Tony Vickio (sp?) does a lot of nascar infield lettering and has a great method. Maybe he'll chime in when you give some more details.

Havin' fun,

Haven't nailed down design yet, but will probably be a W C and coon skin cap or Pioneers . Customer wants something that can be rolled up between uses. Probably 10yds across, maybe 10yd sq so it will reach 5 yds each side of 50yd line. They spray paint the grass.

Interesting subject because I'm at present working on how to stencil a logo on a white "shade cloth" curtain for a construction site fence.

This thing is continuous 1.8m (6ft) high x 200m (600ft) long with logos (2 colour ... dark blue with a single yellow circle) 4x10ft every 30ft along the length. 21 in total?

Figure I'll hand cut the stencils outa heavy tarp vinyl they use on the tents and spray with fast drying lacquor thinned vinyl ink.

Now I gotta find somewhere to do it!
