Last night I started another piece of the large puzzle which is our current project. We are experimenting and using many mediums, primarily in the interest of saving weight as that is a major concern for the project engineers. We are still using our Fiberglass-Reinforced-Concrete where it makes sense, but using other materials where we can.
The current piece is an old nag of a horse pulling a massive load of logs on a sleigh wwwwith a logo carved into the side of the biggest log. The log load will be done similar to the Train car load of logs, with large PVC pipes with heavily textured Magic Smooth bark which is fashioned from 1/2" pink insulation foam. The faces and ends of the logs will be Precision Board which has been machined on our (MultiCam) router.
The horse was a wonderful opportunity to put a generous amount of Magic Sculpt to the test. I welded up a quick steel armature and we skinned it with expanded steel lath. Then the BIG MAGIC began for real.
I got the head basically done in less than two hours working by myself. We still have to add many details and the mane and such. With the Magic Sculpt it is easy to come back later and tweak things, adding a little here and there to make it perfect.
It was afternoon before I could really get back to the project in a big way. I had Rebecca and Shawn blend the two part mix while I added more MAGIC to the horse.... and Wendy came after me smoothing things out until they were perfect. This project is a team effort!
I am DELIGHTED with the results so far and can hardly wait to see it come together. We figure we may just be able to pull it off tomorrow!

Boy Iam sure glad you typed Magic Sculpt, instead of Multi-Cam. You really would have Ray wondering what that machine can do.

The spy of Imagination Corporation informs me there are other pictures to be posted. I'm only doing my job to follow through with such requests...
Here you see Wendy working hard! (and Dan pretending to)
Dan refuses to do a funny posed picture and instead resorts to something ORDINARY. Can't imagine what the big deal is...
No time to drink Coke right now! Hands too busy with playdoh..
Good times just never end at Imagination Corporation! Remember, this is NOT work!

That's supposed to be a horse? I think you've been looking at too many moose and not enough horses, LOL. Just teasing; they look incredible - as always.
