Are you also painting a little wood stove in case Spidey gets chilly? (3rd pic down) Your work is fantastic, as ever. Bet the kids got a kick out of watching you paint that. Love....Jill

I pulled this up before Sam went to school and he said "awesome print that out for me I want to try it." so thanks for the pics and I am sure Sammy will try drawing and coloring one soon.

Judging by the last picture where you're beside the Spiderman... I'd say the illustration is at least 8 feet tall !!! Maaaannnnn that's a big spider!!!
With posts like these.... who needs a printer....or a friend !!!

Love that woodstove...it got me warm just lookin' at it,with only those base colors. As far as spider man...I think that's YOU. Able to stick to large murals...leaping around tall windows with a single bound. Pretty fast too.
I have always liked to see an artist kick in gear, so to speak, and you do that Pierre...when you paint it's all focus, until you get done. Things get done in a hurry because you take the time to FOCUS on what you're doing. That's what makes you good!
Oh, did I mention your willingness to tackle large projects?

Pierre, great looking spiderman. Would U tell us the size of that roll of Tyvek,& details of the metal roll system that holds it? Thank U, Kent Moss

It'a all painted on Tyvek with waterbased Fluorescent paint. The color and the shades are applied with 3" rubberset rollers and then detailed with regular signpainters brushes. It took about 9-10 hours from start to finish, will take another 6 for the lettering parts.
I now buy the Tyvek in rolls of 250 yards and only in 48" wide. When it's larger I taped another part to it. Used to buy it in 60" wide but now Dupont request a 3600 yards order!! Way too much for the flow of work we now have.
The rack that holds the roll is "home made" as my uncle is a welder/machinist.
Here's close-up shots...

My grandson is a real Spiderman fan. In his 3 year old vocabulary, "Spiderman" sounds more like "Bonnaknee". I showed this to him and he started jumping up and down shouting: "Bonnaknee! Bonnaknee!"
Very nice work, Pierre.
