I just wanted to put out a few good words for Tramp. He is a top notch guy and a great artist to boot. I had the honor of meeting and doing some pinstriping with him this past weekend in Atlanta at the World of Wheels. He gave me a lot of tips and by the weekend was over my striped panels were selling at 300 bucks and up. This is all thanks to Tramp so give him a pat on the back. He also informed me this weekend that there is no Canadian Bacon in Canada.

Tramp did a seminar at the Sign Circus and was busy the whole weekend striping cars, chairs and anything else that wasn't moving. He also gave up an all-expenses paid trip to New Zealand to be there. Needless to say, he's tops in my book........

I got to spend some time watching Tramp at the Dixie meet..he's got a real passion for pinstriping and I learned a lot. Gump won one of the folding chairs he striped up and it hangs proudly in his room.
Tramp's one of the good guys, Jamie. Glad you got to hang out with him for the show. Sure wish I coulda made it down. Rapid

I saw Tramp at the big show in Orlando last year...He was the only person painting anything in this huge convention hall full of machines cranking out digital prints. Yet, there he was, striping away at the 1-shot booth. It was almost surreal. He gave me a panel, and I came out of that show feeling sad in a way, yet somehow uplifted. Sad at all those machines taking over everything, yet inspired by Tramp in there holding the fort.

Tramp was very entertaining at Indy last year at the sign show. My Graphics/sign designer Lisa was with me and my wife at the show and was really excited to meet him. He was painting a pinstriped panel and gave it to her! It was like watching a fan get an autograph from rock star.
He's a class act and very talented. Even if you don't do much hand painting in your shop, you want to try it after watching him.
Hope to meet him again somewhere this year.
Sign-cerely, Steve Luck

He is a GREAT guy and I have learned alot about business and percieved value of our work from him and Brian Briskie. Two guys that have alot to teach and don't mind doing it. Listen when they talk, regardless of how you feel about them personally.

"You can't expect to stripe if yu don't stripe!" These were Tramp's words at Dixie this year(he probably says that a Lot!) After his Demo on Saturday, he offered "one on one" to anybody who desired... so Sunday Morn he worked with me for about 30-40 minutes...and i've not been the same since!! At home, started drawing pencil designs, organized brushes, basically, started DOING IT, instead of wishing... probably done 30+ panels of all sizes, working found pieces into them, spending money sending them around the world, aiming to get into some lowbrow gallery... Arts Crawl this Nov.
I am totally hooked on it! can't Ever spell it wroang,(certainly can have questionable colours/designs, tho!)
Anyway, Tramp's Heartfelt Passion for what he does, and passing it on, i'll be forever grateful.
When i started handlettering years ago, i NEVER QUESTIONED practice... i just couldn't get enough of it! Well, why did i think striping would be any different??

I agree that both Tramp and Brian are 2 guys that can really teach and know the craft. I took classes from both at Big Shows and I can't say enough good things about the quality of their work and willingness to help. Tramp is always so excited about painting and I think he really enjoys watching those of us with less than stellar brush skills practice and ask questions for help, a true class act!

Tramp is a very neat guy! He called me once to help me out with advice on making pounce pattern, & I was so excited to hear from him, I could hardly pay attention to what he was telling me!
He does excellent work, too.
I sure hope I run into him again!!!

Tramp is a very special Letterhead, I am proud to know him and have met several times. He called from Canada to thank me for the portrait I did of him. Not just a thank you call, but a long conversation. This man has more talent than a dozen professionals.

I've never met Tramp Warner but have heard good things about him like for instance being helpful to youngsters when he's not drinking and when going off on a binge he says things like how much of a hero I am to him and other crap, he said something like that to Mark Klein when he was at the Orlando show. I mean the guy doesn't even know me but who the heck am I to tell him not to talk about me. Does anyone here have his phone number so I can give him a piece of my mind as its alot cheaper then driving to T O
Between Warner and Briskie, I don't which one is a bigger pain in the ass. We got two guys who never post here and yet are supposably said to be very helpful with the way 1-Shot has turned out and yet most persons are still using it the same way they have done for years by add thinners to it. Maybe Tramp should post here but I doubt whether it could turn out like a another walk on the beach.
Oh well

Personally I think Tramp is bigger and Badder than One Shot. This dude reaks with talent. If he took it himself on the road with "the Tramp Show" he would have another Harley as his "winter Bike"
I have spent alot of time with Tramp and we BS alot to each other and I am trying to convience that antique that it is time to learn the digital world!
Now what he does for One shot is probebly why they are still around in my books. Show after Show there is Tramp pullin' lines and His wife Penny not to far behind supporting her man!
His generousity far outdoes what he is able to do with a pin strippin' brush. Don't forget that yes Tramp is Known for his Pin Strippin' but don't count out his Top Notch Banners that he wins award after award with.
His cartooning is almost as good as Mine(HA! HA!)
What he could produce with a 15" vinyl cutter some people can't produce with a 48" plotter.
This dude is PURE CANADIAN TALENT!

Yeah tramps tops on my cards too. I have spend a short time with him at mazzeppa and wish i had more time to slop paint and swap lies with him.
Like steve said, tramp is much more than just a pinstriper. His signs are really kewl as are his cartoons. He's the full bottle. He is always eager to help and found many others like mike lavallee the same as far as sharing there knowledge. Tramp even keeps in contact with me via email showing me his home, shop, horse (dog) ect which is way kewl! I hope to catch up with him again sometime.
good on ya mate!

At Tomahawk, Wisconsin's Intl. meet, Tramp was striping so fast it made my head spin! He brought a sharp banner for the meet; full of punch and awesome style; since I've always been in awe of his truck cartooning, etc. But... I have the utmost respect for him, since he and his wife had the most bodaciously gracious personalities; really genuinely concerned about others. Yes, it was truly an honor and pleasure.

Joey, Brian can't post here anymore and Tramp probably doesn't to keep from being misunderstood or harassed by giving advice that someone else may find contrary to their own way of doing things. Come to the next Dixie meet and you can meet them both in person.
