These past couple of days have been very hard for Ricky. His blood pressure, temperature and heart rate were through the roof. All caused by the pneumonia.. he was dosed up and had a septic shower, whatever that is.... and he has improved a lot. Today was a big day... they stopped all his cocktail of drugs and he awakened more and more and this arternoon they removed his breathing tube, he is still drugged up on some drugs, can only talk in whispers, but can answer questions by nodding or shaking his head... he is asking after me, because I was the last familiar face he saw when he had his seizures... he thought we were in an accident together... he wanted to know if I was ok! We explained what happened and when he saw me he was more settled. He's had a big big day and is buggered we just got back from the hospital now...9pm... we put on his mp3 player... we asked if he wanted it ...he said a deffinent yes....the sounds of the ICU are disturbing him.... the Mp3's will block out the sounds...He smiled! Rest easy son.

SO glad to hear your news. Sounds like he is recovering nicely. You and your family have to be so relieved!! Get some rest that you deserve. Kelly's right. He's in good hands.
Just a thought...that might be something his friends can do for him is provide him with the latest music that he would like. It will make them feel like they can contribute something to his recovery and he will know that they are thinking about him. If they ask, that would be what I would suggest to them. HANG IN THERE!!
