I keep track of the exercise I do, (log miles and stuff) but not what I eat.
I think it's neat how disciplined you are with your fitness. Having been as heavy as you were at one time, it's pretty clear you are never going back to that!
I have a lot of respect for people who can get in shape, and stay there. That's the greatest challenge.

Once I get into the groove I won't track every last gram like I have the past couple days, this is just to get me on track again. I eat pretty much the same stuff every day so when I get the "formula" down-pat I can go on autopilot, then go back to tracking if I hit a roadblock. I started the week at 255 and am now 250.5, and that's with eating MORE calories than I have been.
I track exercise through the log in my heart rate monitor but next week I'm starting a new weightlifting program so I'll start that by keeping a log of every exercise, set, repetition, weight and comments on how I felt after each.
Now, my real problem is bringing this level of discipline into my business - that's a tough one for me.

That's great everyone, I use to track every meal I ate but now it has just turned into a diet for life change. I just don't crave the same foods I did 3 years ago. Making better meal and snack choices has just become the everyday routine. This morning I started with a glass of orange juice, oatmeal and a banana. My snacks are a variety of fruits and vegetables. I don't know the calorie count or the nutrition count anymore but I enjoy what I am eating. My big thing is finding the time for the gym again. Seems that between work and family I have little time.

I'm on a toasted turkey and avacado sandwich kick lately. I sprinkle alittle parmasan cheeze on the bread before I toast it.
I really like this multi-grain sour dough bread they sell at my grocery store, and I have them slice it thin.
Last weekend we biked 13 miles. It was a perfect day for it. I did some walking that evening too (about 3 miles)
I'm still doing my classes, and trying to lay off the sugar. My mom bought me some Irish Cream for Valentines day. Oh geeeez, that stuff just doesn't leave me alone!

You can keep the snow Bob, I've been enjoying the warm weather and the additional workouts I've been getting riding the jetski. Imagine balancing yourself on a skinny log floating in water, but also moving 50MPH at the same time.

I follow a diet that specifies the amount of carbs and proteins at each meal. B asically Breakfast is 3 carbs and one protein. Lunch and dinner is 3 carbs and two protein.
Protein portions are 30grams in weight, carbs are measured for example as one slice wholemeal bread is 1 carb, or one hens egg size potato is one.
I have lost 26 pounds in 12 months following this routine. I also walk 3-4 times per week for at least 45 minutes and I attend a pilates class once per week for an hour. 3 months ago i started swimming twice a week with a friend. I feel better than I have before. My goal is to maintain the weight and fitness level I now have.
