I have someone that decorates for weddings. She's requested custom lettering for behind the bride and groom. What she described sounds much like this link I found.

http://www.4keepssake.com/Writing_on_the_Wall_photo.html

I've yet to see a removable vinyl that won't ruin the surface of a wall, even the easily removable stuff found at most supply places.

Is there something else on the market I'm not aware of?

Have you checked into the cling Vinyl. Oracal makes a product and it is printable. If you are not printing, then it may not be a good choice as it only comes in white and clear from what I understand. I looked in my Oracal book and I dont see it, so maybe it is not Oracal, but I have purchesed some before and it works really well.

Looking at the pictures from the link, it really looks like it would be a cling type product.

Hope this helps you some

Down here we have a "Static Cling Vinyl" that comes in clear or white background. We use it with vinyl letters or one shot paint for prices on car screens. We buy it 3x2 sheets but it also comes on rolls

There is no glue involved so it wouldn't mark wall paint.

Try a printer supplier your end because our brand names wouldn't meen anything to you.

[For Your Information]

PS: If they keep the backing paper or stick it on a glass window afterwards ... it's reusable!

Donna, East/west has the static cling in clear or white by the yard, but I've only used it on windows. On walls, I just use any intermediate calendared, and for temporary use have never had it mark a wall, yet still be very easy to remove.

Edited to add: when installed on latex painted walls.

Gerber sells a product called Insta-Change that is removable without leaving a residue. It only comes in white, but can be thermal printed to add color.

Most digital print suppliers sell a removable vinyl that is similar.

I like the Insta-change also. The adhesive seems to work well on flat painted walls. I have a customer who has a banner which has a logo that changes yearly. It is usually a nice piece of art so I pull off the old one and stick it to my office wall. It stays well and pulls off cleanly.
