Gee, Frank, I didn't see this post until now. You and Scotty are Letterville heroes. You'll get through this. Glad Scotty didn't break anything too, and that should give you some solace. What a shame you had to have this happen to you, but, I know you'll turn this into something positive after you get through some of the pain. Hope the morphine doesn't make you nauseated. Two of my family members were very sick from it, but had to have it, darn. Maybe there's something natural out there to help with the pain. You need it so you can rest to heal.
Feel better, and know we've all got your back. Some people don't have that, but, it's because you've been there for others, giving yourself and your talents to make others' lives better, more than they hoped it could be otherwise.
You're in my prayers, my brothers, Frank and Scotty!

Update: Frank's meds aren't working, his pain levels increased last night, Scott and I are prepping him to take into hospital here shortly. There's something wrong and we have to find it, it's killing me to see him this way. Writhing in pain isn't picture I wished to see this morning, but that's how we found him. Scott's ready, got to go, will post later as to which hospital and how it's going.

Tell Frank...we'll be worrying about him til he posts for himself...Neither he nor Scottie deserve this but I'm betting it keeps neither down too long.
Please stay in touch and let us know how both are doing.
Good Luck Frank...we'll be thinking of you!

Like so many others, my heart sank when I read the heading of this post. All of us Chapmans here in Texas are grateful that it wasn't worse...of course, that doesn't make you feel any better.
Our prayers go up for you and Scotty. Just remember that you have a huge family that is pulling for you. Our hearts are with you both and your family.
We love you, man.

There are some truely brilliant natural remedies on the market, I hope you can find some. Unfortunately most hospitals seem to turn their noses up at natural relief. Have you considered acupuncture? I have used it myself and found it very beneficial.
I hope you are pain free soon Frank. Get well soon brother of the brush!

And don't let them talk you into never picking up a brush or spray gun again. My dad was rolled over by a roll of paper in a plant(one of those big suckers) and it put him in a wheelchair. The doctors said he'd never walk again. He has no problems from it today.
You'll know when to push yourself to get back to it. Those docs can sometimes fill your head with negativity. So don't let them.

Yes, it"s me...figured Amy's had it and probably going to go home and let me fend for myself...heheh Please don't ask her about trip to hospital tthis morning, is it me or are healthcare ppl. becoming more aloof lately or what? Two times in two days, I"ve walked out, let's say, hobbled out, fits better...damn modern medical personnel, think the sun rises and sets on their special asses...when in pain, one doesn't wannt to play their games; example: Donut Dollie, from front desk asks to fill out form for entrance, onne qurstion is; emergency contact person, glasses were destroyed in wreck, I'm blind here, can't see a thing...she's hot because she has to read questions, very testy...I gave name, she wants a number, I told I didn't know, but it's in phone in front pocket of pants...she says, "Why'd you give me his name for if you don't know the number? I tried to get her to get phone and produce the number for her, nope, she chose to mark my sheet w/patient REFUSES cooperation" and walked off...mind you, at this time, I'm still attached to hard board of paramedics, very painful, in that mode I sat while group of nurses, well within earshot, listen to DD tell her side,, when floor nurse came into cube, did she check to see if I was ok? NO, she got in my face, literally, to admonish me for way I treated HER staff member..sstaff member? She's a friggen DD, that's supposed to be a clerk, nothing medical...at this point I knew further care at a level I wanted to see wasn't forthcoming, so I checked myself out, pain is pain, whether at home or hhospital, at home I don't have a beligerriant DD laying out the rules...ya, I'm ok, can't ya tell by my "BAD" attitude? heheheh
Pains up, got to go and get prone, later I'll take time to explain accident and thank all for such a kind response to my predicament....I love ya all, but I've really got to go....magoo
ps: Scotty's fine, still shook up, but vet says leg and shoulder is just banged up and will heal in a few days and be up and running as good as ever, God bless...don't know how I'd act if I'd have lost him.....

Dear Lord, we all pray that you will give Frank's doctors wisdom, knowledge & understanding to know exactly what is causing him all this pain, & to know what to do for him Lord. Please touch him with Your healing hands Lord & help him to heal.
Frank, we are all pulling for you! I was hoping for better news when I came here to check. Bless your heart, & Scotty's too!

Hey, Frank---Hope you got my IM the other day when all this first happened.
Got to tell ya, if you had been in my ER, way back when, you would have been treated a damnsight different than what you got. Treatment first, paperwork later, and if I had to kick some intern in the behind to get it done, it got done.
Hang in there the both of ya---it sounds like you are well on the way to mending.

Oh boy, (remember please kind souls, this is from a one-handed typist-which as prreviously stated;SUCKS!!!) But we'll preservere, todays findings; internal damage is more than likely a bruised kidney, which will heal...or spleen, dye test results won't be in for a few days, but 1 CT; 1 mri; 17 x-rays; confirm nothing internally broke, T/G...but there is major nerve damage in right arm and neck, can't feel most of rt. arm and it's incapable of moving w/o pain up the cazoo...neck is probably going to be classic whiplash, it will heal...they don't know, or will, the seat of nerve damage, it's somewhere in the neck to arm sections, as I understand it...brb, got to get prone... OK, Scotty's tuff, he is sore and sleepn' alot, but fine, gets a real good lookn' over tomorrow though, different vet, one he's familiar with... Haven't seen burb up close yet, friends that have are lying about it, some said, "aw, it isn't bad", others have told me it's totalled...I remember very little after making sure Scotty was taken care of at the scene.(best friend owns tow co., his son came and took care of scotty and impounded my truck in his private lot alongside his race shop, where it sits now), doesn't matter now, it's frame is gone, I know the doors were pinched shut, paramedics had to force em open to get to me, I had landed in back seat when impact(2 of em) broke seat away from it's mounting...I probably won't rebuild it... sorry, going prone, bbl...

Just called Clay and told him the "good" news - good meaning that you're not broken inside and that you should heal, albeit a long journey of recovery.
Damn it my dear friend! You scared the bejeezus out of all of us, you do realize that, don't you?
The three of us love you to death. Get some rest - Glad to hear that Scotty's doing well.

I am glad that there were familiar faces at the accident scene, Frank. Just take it easy. Seems like your ER intake treatment was worse than the accident! That's terrible. So many people are sending so many prayers and good wishes your way. I hope you and Scotty will soon be on the mend. Magoooooo....I'm gonna have to come up there and kick your ass into shape! Now, you know after taking care of Robert....well, he told everyone I was harder on him than any other nurse or dr., but that stubborn-assed man did what I told him to do! I'm glad you went to the dr. you did good and I'm proud of ya! Take the meds and if you don't like the one they gave ya, ask for another! I've got Robert and now my mom w/ nerve damage from a messed-up knee replacement to take care of....but, I'm sure I can squeeze you into the program if ya need me! Serious!! We love you mucho....you old fart! Kisses to Scotty....and he'll give you one too! Nan

God speed on the healing for you and Scottie. Bless both of your hearts. They told me I would never walk again and it was a few years later, but I'm up and running again. I pray they are wrong about your diagnosis as well!
My first thought was that you need to put up with whatever you need to put up with to be sure there are no life (they missed a punctured lung in my uncle and he didn't live because of it) threatening internal injuries. Seems you did that. I'm proud of you.
Wow, you must've taken one hell of a hit!
Good thing you already learned to stripe lefthanded eh buddy?
Take care and a pat on the head for Scotty.
