I'm so very please to officially announce that Donna has joined the Sawatzky's Imagination Corporation team.
I've long been impressed with her cheerful outlook and positive attitude in life no matter what she is up against. I've watched Donna at her work and am always amazed at the way she speeds through the things she does. I suspect there is not much she isn't willing to tackle and she definitely has the determination to master whatever she puts her mind to. Donna is detail oriented, something needed in our shop.
She has all the right stuff to be on our team. I look forward to learning a lot of things from her too.
Welcome to our team Donna!
This is going to be fun!

Awww gee... what a nice greeting to come home to!
I'm really excited too! But I'm not giving up my own biz, Dan will have to share me with the firetruck crew and a few others.
We do have a few things to work out though. Important issues such as, when is it ok to snow? Where is my coffee maker going or will I have to learn to cholk down coke?
I can't wait to learn learn learn! And get dirty while doing it! Now I'll look just like Dan does, head to toe precision dust and paint while walking to the deli! YEEEEHAWWWWW!

Congratulations both of you, I'm sure you will have a lot of fun together. All the work that I have seen Dan post here I have thought WOW it would be so neat to work in such a creative and interesting place.

When you signed the contract to work here you forgot to read the fine print...
You will have to learn to choke down Coca Cola and ENJOY it too. I know you like platz already. How about Country music?? You have to at least pretend to NOT like snow while in the workshop. Snow is NOT OK (except up in the mountains)
Don't forget what side you are now on in ROUTER WARS and any other skirmish which may happen to break out from time to time... loyalty is important.
And especially important you have to remember that what we do here is WORK... its really not playing. At least that's the company line we try to make the the outside world believe.
You get the idea... Its going to be tough! Like me.
Having fun in Yarrow....

Every morning you must swear allegiance to MultiCam.
Any public conversation has to include at least one reference to MC, Precision Board, Magic Gook, and Phoebe.
Every 15 minutes you must tell Sawhatshisname how great he is and what a privilege it is to be in his presence. (Might be good to mention a raise from time to time during this discourse)
Smile a lot. It will make Dan think that you agree with everything he says.
Don't believe anything he says about Texas or the people that live here.
Take pictures of all mistakes and send them to me. I promise to keep them a secret.
Has he mentioned feeding the horses, chickens, pigs, goats, cats, dogs, snakes, and hamsters? (And mucking out the stalls?)
And just for me....kick him in the shins every once in a while, just to make sure he's real.
....have a great time Donna. You will have tons of stories for your grandchildren.

Wow....that is great news for both of you. Donna, just because Dan refuses to wear a coat in winter....I would make sure that you negotiate your right to wear one at least to and from the Imagination Station. Get written instructions with maps from someone other than Dan when sent to find things.....and keep a good wrinkle cream handy as you will need it with all the continual smiling you will be experiencing...all the best to you both.

Dan, you might now start treating Cody as your new grandson. Donna, congratulations. I hope this decision will prove to be to the benefit of all.

Between Janis, Bec, Phoebe and Donna you've certainly surrounded yourself with a team of strong willed Wimen. It's you and your Multicam now buddy....come to think of it, is it le Multicam or la Multicam.... noooooooo!

This afternoon I'm off to Home Depot to pick up some new cupboards for the staff break area. With Donna insisting on a coffeemaker as part of her contract its time for a little reno in that area to make some room (Janis' idea). Can't argue with that!
We booked the airline tickets yesterday to bring out another talented lady from Edmonton. Wendy Siebert has worked for us many times in the past, both full time in Edmonton when we were there and from time to time when we needed her on special projects. Wendy is very talented, FULL of energy and lots of fun... not unlike Donna.
I suspect when these two get together along with Rebecca and Janis I may well be in over my head... WAY OVER.
It should be an interesting next few months!
Always ready for the next great adventure in Yarrow...
