In the shop I previously used, I made a wall. The wall had 2 x 4's holding it up, but various signs covered those, instead of sheetrock. One of the signs was coro, and on nights when only the part of the shop behind the wall was lit, the little coro sign was quite translucent. Fast foward some years, and a guy gave me this little 1 foot by 4 foot 'can'. I want to give it to my father in law, so he can use it in the front window of his shop (indoors). They came over for dinner today, and I wanted to have the shop name on a new face, in the can, lit up, and with a ribbon around it. But I decided to instead put "Merry Christmas" on it. I figure the coro that size costs about $1.25, the red was a scrap, probably the cheapest GMI brand. So while this won't work well for bigger faces, or as exterior applications, it sure does make an interesting option for sales, holidays, etc.
Edit for spelling, and to say that lots of thin horizontal lines in the coro, but that's not really bad loooking. They don't show in this pic.

Chevron Oil (gas station) uses coroplast, for illuminated signage underneath their canopy, it is curved along the flute axis and partial covered with what appears to be translucent vinyl.

we used coro for backlit sign substrates after the hurricanes. I sold at least 23 of those various sizes. I was back to visit last April and lots of them were still up.
Works great. But i'll bet the sun will rot the coro soon enuf when used outside.
