Ok Colorado got hit wih a the great Blizzard of 06. CNN is calling it The Rockytop Blizzard.

I Look outside now.. Not a drop of Snow here in Canon City.. I am so Bummed.. The News channels were making Fun of us. We were the only city in Colorado that got no Snow. 6 Miles from here over 8 inches of snow. It was interesting though. During the storm the clouds looked like a Hurricane and there is Canon City in this clear Eye of this storm. I actually saw Blue Sky it was weird.

I so wanted my son to see a white Christmas. (He lives in Phoenix) If he can even make it up right now. Suppose to fly into Denver on Friday but I don't think they will have the airport open by then.

Well anyhoo Everyone Have a great Christmas.

We have no snow here either Bill. And its the first one I can ever remember. When I was a kid it was piled at least 2 ft by now. And we usually had at least 4 for Jan through end of March, my kids are soooooo ticked. Its really hard to snowboard this way.

To you and yours (and everyone else) Have a Great Holiday.

Bare ground and almost 50 here in Ohio. I think I saw my snowmobiles cry. Wait, maybe that was me.

If sign makers go on strike, is there anything written on their picket signs?

Barely a dusting here on the ground. Little Sarah, or youngest, has yet to see a white Christmas... [Frown]

You usually see ski racks on cars and snowmobile trailers heading north for the trails by now, but this is the fourth year in a row they have almost disappeared prior to Christmas. Sadly, some well established sales and repair shops, who have fought to hard to stay open, are closing their doors permanently.

I just watched the news, Bill, and they are saying that Denver Airport will be closed another 24 hours or so. Combine that with the stubborn fogging in at Heathrow, and the delayed flights it spawns elsewhere, this might be one of the worst years ever for flying home for Christmas.

Up here on the North Coast (Lake Superior) we had 16" of snow by Thanksgiving, but now its all melted.
Bare ground. My sister in law and family were supposed to fly in from Denver last night, but as of this morning they had 30" of snow. Her kids had wanted to come here to snow board. My kids are anxious to get out on the lakes and go ice fishing but there is only a couple of inches of ice.
Merry Christmas

My first winter in yankee land. Where is the snow? Where is the -30 temps? Where is the need for heavy winter coats?
I insulated my garage, put in a gas heater, got a snow blower, bought that special window washer juice for the car, bought the boy a snow glider and I am ready.

The weather here is nothing more than living back in the deep souf. I expect to be BBQ ing on New Years.

Looks like winter is over. My Satsuma citrus trees are blooming already and I hope to till in Janurary and plant by February. [Wink]

Yeah, I get to drive through some "blizzard-like" conditions later today as a pacific storm system moves across Northern California. We are headed to Reno for a couple of nights which means we cross the Sierra Nevada Mountains. The weather people said that the snow levels will be at 4000' and we we must go over Donner Summit which is 7000'+. I do have 4-wheel drive which is good enough on main highways, otherwise you must "chain-up". I actually like driving this because of the beauty of it all. We often go to the Mtns. every winter to ski/board. All of the resorts there are open with about 50-70% of there lifts operating. What I don't like about this is that there will be traffic as well. If the traffic and conditions get to heavy the shut the Interstate and Highways down.
My daughter is visiting from Hawaii, so she'll "get her fix".

82 degrees here and supposed to still be 80 on Christmas Day. Even in FL it's usually more like the 60's. This stinks!! [Big Grin]

No snow here in NW Ontario - looks like it's going to be a green Christmas, only the 2nd one I can remember, last one in 2002.
Ski areas struggling to make snow but weather is too warm.
Weather is getting weirder every year!

Hope everyone has a wonderful Christmas.
