I wasn't sure if I should post about this, but Suelynn felt it should be posted in it's own thread. Rosemary and Paul have been trying for 5 years to get pregnant. We hired a specialist three months ago and she found that Rosemary had not ovulated once in her life. How all of those high-powered doctors missed that for 15 years is beyond me, but its a fact. She gave Rosemary a medication to force an ovulation. After bleeding profusely for 10 days they called her back for a checkup 3 weeks later and announced that she was carrying twins.
Three weeks later she began cramping badly and bleeding and was taken subsequently to the ER. They found she had lost one of the twins. Another exam showed the second twin was a tubal pregancy and the doctors felt her life was now in danger and collectively decided to force the abortion with a medication.
Life in Lost Prairie has taken an unwanted, unwelcome turn. She has a lot of Family support and we're with her every minute right now. If you pray, say one for her. This kid has had far more than her share of medical troubles.

That second little guy just doesn't want to leave and the IV medication isn't causing absorbtion or elimintaion. She's prtty much an emotional wreck this afternoon and she can't come out home. She has to be within muinutes of the ER till monday, so Lyn will stay in town with her till the end. I truly didn't think this would affect me all that much. I was wrong.

I just wanted to share a little more with your family...I had an ectopic (tubal) pregnancy in between Joe & Ben. It was very serious since no one could figure out why I was so sick until my fallopian tube burst and I nearly died before they could operate. In fact, it was so extensive I lost that one whole side, tube & ovary. The doctors told me I would probably never be able to have anymore children. And the first month we tried, we conceived Joseph! I know it may seem bleak now, but you never know what is planned for you! Sometimes when life seems at your lowest, wonderful things can happen that make you see how truly blessed you are. Hang in there!! We are all sending good vibes and prayers your way!

I remember your initial mention of Rosemary's happy news in another post. I was happy for her too. I think that miscarriage is one of the most painful things a woman can endure. It took me two years to get over mine, until I had Justis. It was my third pregnancy, well into the 4th month. I was angry at God and every damn pregnant woman I saw at the grocery store. One of the very few things that helped me (oh man do you EVER get sick of well meaning people who say "it wasn't meant to be" and even the morbid ones who ask what it was like and the stupid ones who ask "oh! did you have your baby?") was the day my minister's wife asked me to babysit her little daughter Emmy. I sat in my rocker and held that precious little baby and bawled my eyes out. (I'm not a "cryer") It was the only thing that comforted me. Luckily Rosemary has a beautiful little nephew to hold whenever she can, and I would advise that. Eventually, you do begin to heal but it is a very slow process. Your body snaps right back but your heart hurts for a very long time. At least she knows that she can try again, and that helps somewhat. Pierre, you are not wrong to be so deeply affected by this. It is a death, the loss of two little babies and lots of hopes and dreams. I'll pray that all will be well for your family. Love....Jill

Strange you should mention that, Jill. Rosemary has spent most of her waking hours with Julian at Lat's house. She doesn't seen to want to put him down. I hadn't thought about why until your post. Thanks folks.

Pierre, my heart goes out to Rosemary and Paul. I know first-hand the pain of losing a baby; my wife carried one to full term only to lose him. He would have been my first son. I can only say that "this too shall pass" and the sun will shine again. We live in a natural world and it really ticks me off when someone feels that they have to ascribe some spiritual significance to every event - event big events for us. Stuff just happens, just a part of life. I know Rosemary will cowgirl up - just as soon as the hurting eases up.

Rosemary and Paul, I've known you and your family for a very long time. Your dad and mom and I have crossed a lot of paths, connected by letterville. We posted within seconds of each other when a crisis just started (911). Your family and I go way back. I had a miscarriage about two years before I came to letterville, in 1990. It was the most devastating thing I have ever experienced. I never got "over" it, but, with the love of my family and friends, and my loving family around me, including my 2 year old son, Arthur, (I have older children too), there have been many joys and comforts that helped us through. Rosemary is truly a much cherished and loved letterville family daughter and we are always going to be there for you. Your family is ours, and I just want you to know that it's okay if you need lots of time. The pain never goes away but, love is a very powerful entity. You are so loved by us in Letterville and we will pray for your comfort. Please reach out to us anytime, because you are our Letterville sweetie pie.
