All of us who knew and loved John Jordan, have special moments we shared with him. I laid awake for hours last night going over the week we enjoyed his hospitality.
I should feel sad, but everytime I look at the photos I have to smile. Just a few short weeks ago, he would wake me up yelling "C'mon ya Bastard! There's things to see and do!" So many memories! So many smiles!
Please feel free to post your favorite Jordo photo under this post. Let's create a treasure of memories Paul, Vicki and Deb can save.

I took this in Mazeppa. It wasn't til I printed it out that I said, "Hey, that looks like a rainbow and there is gold at the end of the rainbow." ... I was right it was a treasure standing there and it was sprinkled with gold dust from head to toe...thanks for memories John

John had a wonderful balance of knowing how to work and play, to focus on people and projects and to know how and when to blend them and keep them isolated.

Thanks for all the brillant photos Letterheads. I was talking Jordo's Son-In-Law Brian last night. The Family is overwhelmed with the tributes and photos. Keep them coming.
Here's one I like.
Jordo loved Australia and his hometown Sydney. He took great delight in showing it off to Visitors. During our recent stay with John, he made sure we saw everything he could possibly pack into a day.
In many of our photos, you can see this white haired character in a red sweater out in front, urging us old farts to get our butts in gear.
This one was taken in downtown Sydney. We had just returned from a ferry ride across Sydney Harbour to Manley and back. Jordo than lead us on a march to the oldest part of Sydney called The Rocks.
Here he is leaning on a lampost looking for tips from tourists. What a hoot!

As Steve noted above thinking of John always brings a smile to my face. His passing makes me sad, but his memory will always be a happy one.
Thankyou John for showing us how to live life to the fullest!

I'll repost some of mine and some more, I have all of these as 2meg files if anybody wants copies.
Looking back through these just makes me feel so lucky to have met so many really fantastic people, and how blessed we are to have made the effort to build on such a great movement.
He put on a brave face here but he was freeezing his nuts off, as were we all
Johnny's hand I missed the rest of him in this pic.

Steve will you please post the photos of John that I have put into our share folder on my behalf. If anyone who has posted here could e-mail me their pics of John I would really appreciate it. tigerstar@xtra.co.nz I am travelling to Sydney on Tuesday for Johns funeral. I am happy to take any mesages with me. John was my biggest inspiration and I shall think of him every time I put gold onto a panel.

Nice pictures i'm with Henry on the David Butler one, I've no picture to post but the following is a story Jonny told at a pub in Cork at the 2003 meet there, As he attended so many meets you would see a post here offering a room to share and often he would stay in a hotel with a complete stranger. On one occasion he met his new letterhead friend and on the first night they both got back to the room, his mate went to bed and was soon asleep and snoring his head off . this kept Jonny awake almost all of the night however being the gent he was he said nothing, the next day he thought he would get back to the room early and get to sleep first, great idea only a few glasses of red and he forgot, gets back to the room only to find 'sleepy' already in bed again snoring his head off, again the next day he does not say a word about the lack of sleep but that night at the bar keeps an eye out and goes back to the room with his mate, they go to bed and just after they switch out the light Jonny goes over to his friends bed and kisses him on the forehead 'nighty night' he says gets back into his own bed and gets the best nights sleep ever. I can't remember the head in question but they never shared a room again. Still can't beleive I won't see him again cheers Terry

Only just seen this post and am sad at the passing of a very dear friend. A uk meet will just not be the same without him. Sonny and Henry have already posted the two pics that are my particular favourits, they are the one of john and my wife dancing on the table in Greece and the one of John, Joe Crummley, Henry Barker and myself enjoying a beer on a boat in Greece.
