I recently have had several jobs of removing reflective from vehicles. what i did was heat the vinyl with heatgun(not hair dryer) or braising torch you get from lowes..being cafefull to not over heat, as to burn. when the decal is warm the first layer comes off. do not be concerned about the silver and adhesive. once this is removed i put 3" masking tape over the silver and adhesive and re-heat that area, then squiggy the masking tape very firmly. pulling the tape slowly at a 45` angle the adhesive and silver comes right off. see the silver and adhesive sticks to the tape, no residue, no gummy adhesive remover, slickest thing i have ever seen.
I discovered this by accident...It really works!

Latigo uses "The Eraser". Works every time if there's no other option.

That electric zapper is what I use, but mine runs by air.
Well worth the money.

ok... but your still scuffing the clear coats. you can see it from an angle
but how are you removing the silver and adhesive...this is very messy even with the liqiud remover. the regular cast and calender vinyl is a different animal that reflective.
