I was wondering how you pronounce your name, Rick, now I know
Oh, hi John Itsme. I actually thought this might be your "Internet name" in order to protect your identity. If so, don't fear, we all use our real names here and no one has been abducted or robbed yet because of it. If it's your real name please accept my apologies.

Welcome John, Holohan pronounced Hollowhead in school for me. Never realised how close to the truth it was until later in life. You'll like it here.

Our daughter's first name is Cherie. People kept calling her Cherry, so she started using her middle name Rachel. It can get butchered, too. Once, when we picked up our badges at a trade show we exhibited at, her name was spelled Rachell in big bold letters, which seemed kind of fitting since she was a teenager at the time.

Better than a first name that is used by both sexes. I understand Johnny Cash's "Boy Named Sue" very well. Kids are brutal in school with names. I've was in my fair share of scraps that started over my first name. I still get mail every week that is addressed to Ms, Miss, and Mrs Dana Blair.

I've never been fond of my name either. My parents saw it on a cabin at the lake and liked it. I don't like having to spell it every time, or the fact that everyone assumes I'm chinese until they meet me. Then, if that wasn't bad enough, my middle name is Gaye. My kids still think that is hillarious.

Everyone in school used to call me...........um, well, I guess they didn't pick on my name.
The funniest part about this thread is that Mr. Itsme hasn't replied. I think he signed up and split!
