just tune into CUT/CHOP/REBUILD, or OVERHAULIN, and watch them make wheels outa solid blocks of aluminum!!!!!!
also they show a metal(steel)laser cutter that cuts prefect pieces steel to whatever you need it to be.

Hi Folks,

We are offering some very potent CNC capability at www.vectorart.com. Go to the Vector Art 3D section
and take a peek. There is a free, very sophisticated 3D machinist package that is as easy to use as a print driver and a rapidly growing collection of full 3D clipart, ready to carve.
Also, do check out the instructional and informative videos
and free art work as well. You have no idea how easy it is to put your CNC machine to work doing spectacular 3D carving...if you have a router we can provide a post processor for your machine (most CNC machine post processors are already included in the free Vector Art 3D machinist software) and the rest is really easy.

Andrew, any plans to make your software work with a Gerber Sabre?

Yes indeed, we are working on that possibility for the Gerber routers although Gerber is still a "closed" system so I am not sure if and when we will be able make it work for the many Gerber users out their in the sign industry.

Our big market from the get-go is woodworking shops who are doing doors, mantle pieces and other carved panels of all kinds, so not many Gerber platforms there.

I think there is a big opportunity for a sign shop to pick up some of this kind of work, for woodworkers on contract, or go at some of the cabinet work directly, as well as carved signs per. se.
