I'm with Paul Jordan at the shop. After the meet, Jordo took us to see Canberra, the Capital City of Australia. What a brillant place!
Thanks for getting these photos posted Jon. The only really good connection we have here in Sydney is Jordan Signs. We need a few hours of uninterupted time to try and catch up. There's just so much to see and do.
The meet in Burrawang was a blast. These Aussie Heads love to work and play hard. The Residents of Burrawang deserve a big round of applause. They truly laid out the red carpet for us. Special thanks to a couple called Robert and Sally. Over the weekend, they opened up their home and hearts to a bunch of Letterheads. I know their liquor supply took a beating.

Glenn, Pete Bedggood's work is more than wonderful-he's brilliant, and even that's an understatement. Last year he airbrushed John Jordan as the phantom menace on the fridge. At home I have pix of his work ute (ute = pick-up truck) and it's very creatively done too. HIs portfolio is one to drool over-bike helmets, tanks, signs pictorials...

Glad to hear you liked Canberra Barb and Steve - told you it was worth the side trip!
While Burrawang was a real eye opener, the Kiwi 'heads seem to have more apprentices/trainees/ladies present. What gives Oz?
Anyone in NZ know of a small town that would appreciate a visit from 50 or so keen writers?

Brian, please tell the NZ host for next year, I'm working on 26-7-8th Oct for our meet at the moment. The previous weekend the place is booked up. Ideally then your meet would be 2 weeks?earlier.
(P.S. Congratulations on post #1 !!!)

Ian, they were talking about wanting their meet the first or second weekend in November in Auckland, mainly because of the weather. So 26-28th Oct would be ideal.
The idea was that it makes it easier for "up-overs" like Steve & Barb to make both meets comfortably and really have a worthwhile trip "down-under".
Brian, The lack of trainees/ladies also suprised me. Not usually the case. Maybe you should bring some "talent" over with you next year!

Already spreading the word on Toowoomba. You've got 2 definites in Anne and Brent McDonald (according to the email I've just received).
The 29th of October is our Labour Weekend holiday so that could suit many Kiwis as it'll be a short week anyway. We're probably looking at a November date as the weather is better then. I'll keep you posted.
Ian, if you can get a logo to me as soon as you've designed one, I'll start to push them along from this end of things.
Jon, I'll do my best but I'm not keen to make a promise I might not be able to keep!

Brian, I have two logos in the pipeline- but I'll wait till Steve & Barb return to 'Up Over' and I'd like to get a poll going on letterville. I have a bundle of great ideas for workshops & a panel jam, but of course that's just me- I'd like to see what would motivate others, and also what would motivate newcomers to attend- It's going to be a great meet!
Aussie numbers have dwindled a bit over the past few years, and I plan to turn that around & set some standards again!
I'm working on an accommodation included deal, too, and one solitary wall/roof-gable to be done.
