this is how they keep the roadsides here litteraly sign free. You will see NO snap signs any where on the roadsides or poles.

So instead of picking up the sign you grafitti it instead? Doesn't that still leave the thing on the side of the road? [Rolling On The Floor]

That is brilliant, Curtis... I take it the city or county does that...

Patrick, it wouldn't take long of having all your signs out there with "SCAM" on them and you'd pick up your own signs... saves the city/county from having to dispose of them, plus discourages other people from putting their signs out.

Around here the city has PILES of these signs behind their building... they've let me go back there and get some of the nicer metal stands of them before.

These types of signs are so cheap people will put them out for the few days of advertisement they get before they get picked up.... they think twice if they knew "SCAM" was gonna be painted on it.

AHAHAHHAHHAHAHAAHH.

This is great, The local gov. does it..
There are litteraly NO yard signs around except these few from GRxxx around my area. All of them have "SCAM" written on them..

Another trick used is trees. No one is allowed to cut the trees on the highway right of ways, However, billboards grow on private property. The trees grow up and block the boards. Someone will cut them trees. The Highway dept places a large sign there that says "These trees illegally cut" thus placing embarassment on the bill owners.
There are fewer billboards going up all the time. They are nearly gone here..

We have some yahoo who comes to our shop every couple of weeks to buy a few pieces of 24x18 coroplast to make his own illegal streetside signs.

He's advertising his own credit repair business by using a stencil that he hand cut and spray paints the message.

But, at $5 per blank, what do I care. He puts them up. I get to pocket $20 or so bucks out of him every week for about $4 worth of material. The city takes them down and the cycle begins again.

It kills me.. Hand painted cheap looking signs.. to advertise some services. "Call now Make 1,000 a week..
But,, You know,, when money is scarce, and you got more time than money, and you want your bizz to grow, you will do some things other think is stupid.

For example. I put up a flyer at the super with some of those tear off phone number tags. And you know what? I am getting calls.. And thats what counts.

As you can see, our local officials turn a blind eye to illegal road signs. I took these pics -- about 20 yards apart -- this morning on my way back from delivering a few signs.

And, believe it or not, there are places that look worse that this ... especially now during the campaing season. I just happened to be driving in this direction today.

We just made banners for a Chick-Fil-A that's offering a free sandwich in exchange for a campaign sign off the side of the road.

In our town it's illegal to remove or molest a political candidates sign.

Curtis the highway dept puts a defamatory sign on private property or on the right of way?
