We're here in sunny Napier at Wilsigns. Just over 50 Letterheads from all over New Zealand are busy painting murals, panel jamming, and well....doing what Letterheads always do.
Meet hosts, Murray and Jose Wilson have a gorgeous shop. The walls are chock full of awards won for Sign Design excellance. These Kiwi sign people really know what they are doing.
I was surprized at the different paints they use here. There are far more acrylics being used than sign enamels. Have not seen too many striping but the airbrush is very popular.
Our old pal John Jordan is here from Sydney. As usual, he is teaching his gold stuff and chasing the Kiwi hotties around the shop. Believe me. There are lots of Kiwi Hotties!
Last night we had a big sing a long. I did my best to supply the guitar music while Elvis and the others did the singing. I think I've met a soulmate in Elvis. You were right Jill. He's my kind of nut!
Today is going to be really exciting. Sometime this afternoon, 2 local models are coming in for our body painting workshop. I was shocked to learn that they will just be wearing g-strings. How awful! Don't worry. I'll get lots of photos. It's a tough job, but I'll do my best to use my usual good taste.
Later tonight a bus is going to scoop us all up for a tour of Napier. In 1938, an earthquake destroyed this City. When they rebuild it, they followed an art deco scheme. It's gorgeous.
Lunch is being served. I'll be back later with more news and photos.

If you have a chance when you get home Steve how about running an overview of expenses so we can all plan our next trip to NZ...kinda like we did for the Cork trip. quite a few have said it helped them to decide to go to some of the England meets
I'm really happy for you guys sorry you'll be spending all your time taking pictures of the models I know how much you like "hands on" experiences.
Keep an eye on him Barb.

What a brilliant meet! We have a ton of photos, lots of new Friends, and enough memories to last a lifetime.
It's Monday night. We are back in Auckland after an overnight stay in Rotaruta. At 9am tomorrow, we fly to Sydney to meet John Jordan. Our NZ Adventure is almost over, but our Aussie Adventure is just starting.
We have lots more to share about our times here in NZ. This trip and the Letterheads we have met make it very hard to say GoodBye. A special Thanks to Morman Bliss and Lori for sharing their home and hearts with us.
Barb and I want to thank all of you who helped organize, and took the time to attend this Meet. You made 2 Canadian Letterheads very, very happy. A special Thanks to Anna and Jen, our 2 gorgeous models who allowed me to paint and drool all over them.

What a fantastic meet..!! More about that later. Just to correct 2 minor spelling mistakes in Steve's post...Norman not Mormon and Rotorua not Rotaruta. Understandable tho....he was very tired last night and his typing finger is still shaking from his "painting" exercise in Napier. By now he will be in Oz and in much warmer climes.

Is Pj(AKA Paul Jordan) the son of the hyperactive muppet we all know as Jordo?
Yep he sure is... and here's a picture!
Pj is the quiet and shy one of the dynamic duo.
He told me once that the only difference between him and Devo is, that no one expects wickedness from someone that looks like he does.... all squeeky clean
just look a little closer and I'm sure you'll see the family trait of mischief in his eyes
cheers gail

Gail, would love it if you and Devo could come down to the meet in Burrawang. Had a bit of a chat to Devo at the show. It's a hard job being quite and shy around people like Letterheads, the enthusiasm seems to create a special atmosphere that you can't help but get involved. Must some sort of airborn virus or maybe some sort of drug! You guys take care.
