Hi. I am starting my new sign shop out and was wondering if Orical is okay vinyl. I know that if I start out with it it might be, but have used it with 3m in the past and a person really can't mix the two. The Orical, though on it's own was fine, but I used it on top if 3m High Performance and it wouldn't stick. I have always used 3m only as the shop I worked for would use nothing less. Starting a new shop, though, the price of the Orical is tempting.

I've been useing Orical 651 for almost everything I do for the past 5 years and have not had any problems. Most of the lettering has been done on trucks and heavy equipment wich is a fairly harsh enviroment and has held up well. The 751 is their high performance line wich I've heard is very good also. Good luck and welcome to the sign biz!

Jessica, Oracal is a very good vinyl. I have been using Oracal 751 for about 9 years but it was a calandered vinyl in the begining. The reds have faded faster than other colors.I only use 651 for banners and temporary signs. 651 is stiffer and doesn't comform well. I now use Oracal 751 C (cast)and 851 on vehicles and signs. Here is a link to Oracal that you may find helpful. Oracal Homepage Judy
