I overheard somebody at the Zoo meet say they used Krylon's new "Fusion" spraypaint on vinyl.
I tried some. I love it.
Maybe there are others here who don't know about it, or maybe I was just late for the show.
Not sure how long it lasts, but it made a tasty fade on my Avery A-4 for a bunch of banners I rushed out. 10 minutes of spraypainting made the lettering really pop.

Been using it since it first hit the stands. Great way to get a fade without all the fuss of cleaning an airbrush. Haven't had a problem yet. Rapid

Have you guys found any decent colors? Around here it seems the only colors I can find are damn ugly and nothing bright... no blues, reds, oranges, greens, nada! They're all muted earthy dirt colors.
I've found that aerosol paints for Lexan R/C car bodies work really well on vinyl in a pinch when I don't have screenprinting ink onhand.

I noticed that the front and rear bumpers were turning smoky Grey from sun UV's and waxing....
Well out comes a can of Black Fushion. I cleaned the back bumper with Isopro and masked the area off..
Spraying was nice and even and looked like it was going to hold up!
I desided not to do both incase something goes wrong....
3 years later the damn thing still looks like new! Still havn't done the front as I intend too! But will shortly.....
I just finish painting a friends plastic shutters for his re-sale of his home, with forest green Fushion. He wanted myself to airbrush them. Turned out like they just came from the factory.
Yes Sir! the stuff really works.
As someone just said I wish they came out with more colours.......

ken odnt let this out to them. see this is how crap gets overly inflated. they find out their product is used in sign industry all of a sudden they come out with fusion ofr sign contractors and raise the price 3 times what you get it now for. then they come out with other stupid lines of products that eventually fail.......got to keep it on the downlow

That link to the Krylon page was very useful -- now i know what other colors there are. I was spraying a fade over white, and its really easy when you're using the pastels. (I did a pink to pale yellow fade). Its harder to do that kind of fade from a bright red -- the edges aren't as soft.
Good to know that it holds up well. I'm sold on the stuff!

I sprayed my ugly gray counter top in my bathroom with the honeydew color...it held up really well for the three and a half years I had the counter.

yeah, i always just used regular krylon for fades. The only thing is, you have to make sure to wet the transfer tape when removing so the paint doesn't peel with it.

I've found when doing fades use two colors and do a wet on wet application. It will not peel with transfer tape as there is no dry edge.
I think FUSION is the old formula that we used to buy about 10 years ago. Remember the cans that had the solid color ball logo?
