You know how a lot of companies (especially hardware and software) tend to hide their 800 and contact numbers where they are difficult to find?

It's like they don't want to hear from you...

Well, here's a resource that might save you some time. Hope it helps.

Yesirreee, that'll come in handy. I closed my AMEX account just because I could never get a friggin' human on the phone. Thanks Toddler.

And here is a link to a list of corporate phone numbers and what buttons to push to get past their computerized phone system and get a real person on the phone.

If sign makers go on strike, is there anything written on their picket signs?

Stouse [Mad]

When I get their new catalog, I can't put it on the shelf til I've found their old one & scrawled their # in huge letters on the front in thick black marker cause if it's in the catalog, it must not have printed on my copy.

Doug, I have a few ideas as to why, but they could at least include a business card in the envelope.

Stouse's catalog is designed so that your customer can't deal with them directly. I wish Gemini did the same thing (no contact numbers on catalog). I know Gemini won't sell directly to your customer, but they might refer your customer (that you've lent the catalog to) unwittingly to your competition.

How about websites that only offer an email address (no phone number or physical address, or even the state they're in). I avoid those businesses.

Doug, is it ok if I place an order using your account number? I'm hoping you have a 30 day account there...

Thanks! [Wink] [Wink] [Wink]

The worst one I've encountered lately was - believe it or not - my 5 page home telephone Bill- had to search & read the very fine print to find the customer service number when my service went out last week - -they of all people should know better - - -

God I hate it when there is no contact information.

Here in the sprawling metropolis of Williamsport, PA. it often difficult (hard to believe I know) to procure the precise goods and or services that one requires. Thus, I do quite a bit of online purchasing. It drives me to drink when there is no contact information on an online seller's web site other than info@buymystuff.com [Mad]
