Not exactly a car but it's affordable dream transportation. 35' of pure heaven.
This (well, one very similar) will be the shop truck in the next couple of years. Completely impracticle, a heck of a lot of fun, scares small children, and will pull a trailer around town if it has to. The only vehicle I've ever ridden in that's more fun than a Jeep.

I used to have a '69 Mustang fastback with the 351 Windsor back in 1980, but like an idiot I sold it before I went to college and bought a VW Rabbit. I've been kicking myself ever since.

What a gorgeous car, Ken! Cars were awesome before they had to start worrying about eco emissions... I just don't see why a CLEAN car has to be an UGLY car. Can't they design something where FORM and FUNCTION coincide?

Hey Kelsey, actually the big car companys are looking at old school roadsters and such for inspiration, hense the PT crusier, the 2006 mustang, and the plymouth prowler....nice headlights huh?

Yeah those all look pretty cool. Have you seen the new Chevy HHR? I think they kind of screwed up the SSR though. It looks cool in pictures but wierd in person.

Remember Kelsey it aint a hot rod until it gets modifed the HHR would look good as a sedan delivery, by filling in the rear windows,
or how about chopping 3-4" out of the roof on a PT, the prowler might look good with no fenders and a lovered hood, I want to chop one of those Scion boxy cars, they are really low to the ground already and have alot of head room, surpisingly enough, I bet you could take up to 9" out of the roof. Oh and of course it always looks cool with FLAMES

heres a jaguar for ya, 1954 D-series race car...
Kimberly, the XJ series is a beautiful car but find yourself a reliable garage that you can trust, parts can be pricey the XJR is the supercharged model, but its a rare car.

Ken, I got lucky and found a great guy who I totally trust. Clay teases me that every time I drive by the guy's shop I should just mail him a check for $500! LOL
It's a '98 XJ8L which means it's the V8 and the L signifies the longer wheel base. I've owned it for about 15 months now and I'm just as thrilled with it now as the day I got it. I've wanted one for a long time and when it came time to trade in my last vehicle I said, What the hell, why not?

OK, I've always gone for the offbeat. The high tech, high dollar stuff never turned me on at all. Actually the "store bought, professional built stuff actually turns me off. I'm old school and dig innovation and fabrication done by the owner. One of my picks for dream car would be this one. The car builder recently passed away. The car was recently restored to the way it raced in the late sixties. What I would give to take a few hot laps in this thing. Anybody that ever saw this thing race at Wall stadium will understand 12 port Wayne head on a 302 GMC on alky, it put out a one of a kind sound. The exhaust exited through the deck lid, when backing off for the turns a flame , accompianied by a loud boom would shoot out the car a couple of feet.............memorable.........for sure!!!!
Oh, and it raced against, was competetive with and sometimes won against 427 V-8's
My other choice for a dream car would be a candy apple red and white 55 Buick with a six inch rake and a 455 nailhead under the hood

This is one I've been doing a lot of work on at the shop. not only on the paint and graphics, but everything from interior to chrome to glass. Been a lotta fun building and if I had the cash...*sigh*
Check out this rat rod dragster. Got to letter this one up to look like it's 30 years old. No shine, no wild design, no frills...just a TON of motor!!!!!
Gotta love it.

Cmon Ray don't use the "R" word here.... typically a "rat rod" is a car done in the traditional 50s hot rod way, remove all non-necessary part, hood, fenders etc. biggest engine you can fit (some traditionalists even say no v-style engines) and of course red wheels and wide whites. since we are talking 50's style no 60s cars could be rat's, of course primer black is the preferred color.... I think, if your gonna have a hot rod, why not a matching hauler....
