The Pixar movie CARS not only is a killer animation but it may be the finest "sign" movie ever made. I couldn't believe how well the hollywood cats did on the lettering. I'm going back to see it just for that...

Speaking of cars. I have a really boring but beloved 1990 Toyota I'm contemplating painting up to resemble a Ford Woody. If I could figure out how to upload a photo, I could share a mock up.

I've seen the movie twice so far... The second time I had more time to look at details. I enjoyed the movie just as much the second time!
The book 'The Art of Cars' is a great read too!

Speaking of books, i got the book about the making of the movie "The Incredibles" and was astounded at how close to the deadline of the movie they were still working out major details. i honestly cannot comprehend the level of artistry that it takes to breath life into the computer animation.
But then again...there's a lot I cannot comprehend.

There's also a CARS playstation game. I'm going to see if the video rental place has it so I can check it out but I'll probably add it to my cartoon movie PS2 game collection.
PIXAR movies made into video games are WAY cool!

We saw the movie today. I was constantly astounded as to how real some of those affects were. Scenery, trees, water, metallic paint, it was a blast to watch! Simply beautiful, and worth every movie theatre penny as you won't grasp some of those visuals quite the same on a tv screen.

I saw it yesterday as well. I echo al that Donna has said. What a magnificent movie. The artwork is to be marveled. The signs were amazingly realistic as well as pretty creative for what it is.
Pixar has outdone themselves yet once again.

We saw it for the 2nd time last Sat.-- I couldn't believe all of the details and stuff I missed the first time! I even caught the tire tracks in the clouds.
