Hi there! I'm from Northern Kentucky, right across the river from Cincy and about 20 minutes from the zoo. If anyone is arriving early and wants to get together for dinner on Thursday evening, my "surrogate" Dad owns a great restaurant (not trying to drum up business for him... I'm saying we can get a sweet deal!). It's in a old 4 story building that used to be a pharmacy and has some great history. There's a bar on the second floor with a cool antique bowling machine and an art gallery on the third floor. CHeck out www.yorkstonline.com Anyway, if anyone is getting here early and wants to hang out, feel free to call or let me know if anyone is interested and I can put something together. My shop is coveniently located next door to the restaurant and I'd be more than happy to pick anyone up who doesn't have a car. This will be my first Letterhead meet (although I've been painting signs for 15+ years) so it would be nice to get to make some new friends. I have a 2 year old and 4 year old so kids are always welcome!

Was ther mention of free food! Sheila warn that pops of your I herd it though the grape Vine that there might be a couple of big time Canadian eaters coming for some Kentucky Duck! Had to through that joke in that is what we call Kentucky Fried Chicken up here!

My assistant and I are heading out Thursday afternoon. Should be at the Manor by evening. This is my assistants first meet. She is studying fine art and does a lot of oil paintings. She would like to learn mural work, so this will be a great weekend for her to learn from the best.

Great Pam! We'll see ya then! I've got everything set up so we can take over the lower half of the patio (weather permitting of course!) We've got about 12 people so far and everyone is welcome so spread the word! This is a very laid back restaurant with great food. Can't wait to meet everyone!

Also, the phone # at the restaurant is 859-261-9675 so if anyone gets lost, I'll come find ya! It sits on the right hand side on the corner of 8th and York in Newport, KY. There's a big yellow neon circle sign in the window. There's a lot to park in on the right side of the building or you can park anywhere on the street (meters don't work).

I will be packing up the Excursion and leaving out tonight with my wife and kids to drive all night to be there in the AM. I hate we can't make supper. Those are usually some great conversations. If you have to feed Steve your dad better be ready. The Borgata in Atlantic City won't let him come back.

Told the chef this morning to order extra so Steve's all set! (he-he-he) Pam, weather here looks great... beautiful sunny day. Kent, if there are allergy concerns we can certainly fix something special for you, no problem! Bill, grubby is always fine as they're used to me running over there for lunch in various stages of cleanliness depending on what I've working on. Bobbi, the restaurant is about 15-20 minutes from Florence and my husband and Joe Cieslowski will be heading that way around 7:00 from my house in Erlanger which is 5 minutes from Florence... so if you'd want a ride to dinner, call my husband's (Rick's) cell 513-910-9490 and he'll come get you at your hotel. To all traveling today, have a safe and wonderful trip! Can't wait to meet you!
