I am trying to open an old file from a CD and when I click on it I get the thumbnail image but it tells me that its an unexpected file format and won't open! I've used this file before and not had any problems. I'm using Flexi 7.6, ANY ideas?

What type of file is it? What software created it? What is the file extension? You may have to import it. If none of that works, you can email it to me and I'll see if I can get it to work.

Edited for spelling. I had my granddaughter sleeping in my arms and I was trying the one handed typing thing.

Can you copy the file off the CD disk to your hard drive and then open it? Could your CD disk be damaged?

The file was created in Flexi last year,so its a Flexi File that I have been able to open in the past.I wiil try importing or moving on to my hard drive and then copying it.I have been able to open other files on the disk so I don't think the disk is damaged.
