Just a friendly reminder that the Safari at the Zoo 2 meet takes place at the Cincinnati Zoo June 16 to 18. Great seminars, great times...don't miss it! Those who went to the first Safari meet 12 years ago still talk about it.

Hey Crew this is going to be an awesome meet just check out who is coming and who is doing seminars etc. What a venue...Not only is the zoo first class the hosts are right along side in that division as well!
Well I am going to be doing my seminar as well as doing a cool project on my own..... In my seminar I will be giving away some samples of a cool new product we came across called magic sculpt and magic smooth two things we use on alot of our tooning projects! As well I will be showing how I use corel painter with my tablet and I didn't say this out loud some some lucky attendee in the audience will win the version 9.5 (providing Corel comes through like they said they would!)
Stay Tooned Crew this is going to be a "wild" meet!

I just signed myself and my assistant up last week. Have the hotel room booked and everything.
Ken, I'm looking forward to meeting you and learning more about gold leaf. I started to focus on it and as said earlier, "life got in the way" but I really want to learn more about glass guilding.
My assistant and I want to hit it all and learn about everything. She is new to the trade, but has a background in fine art and mural work.
We are both really looking forward to it.

We had planned to do this one and then our son & wife changes the date on our new grandson's christening and it is that weekend. Our daughter-in-laws parents are flying here from POLAND for the weekend, so we really want to see them again and spend some time in Chicago. We HATE that we will have to miss this meet! We have such fond memories of the first one and encourage anyone who is on the fence about going... GO! This is a great place for a meet, especially if you have kids!! Take the whole family for this one and have a great time! We'll be thinking of you. ENJOY!

Yeah! I worked it out and can go! Bringing the whole family with me. Figured this would be a good first one to drag the wife to as there will be other stuff there (she is not into the letterhead thing but hopefully after this she will understand my addiction more) The day after mayhem I had to replace my gastank ... with my cinci-meet money. My bosses came through again and are kicking in a good chunk for me to go ... after paying for most of my mayhem just a few weeks ago. Only catch is I have to learn stuff ... so somebody teach me stuff.

I had so much fun at Lodi that I decided to fly to Cincinnati. See you all there. I'm arriving a day early so I can see the sights. (uhm, all I could get was a red-eye, so I'll be real blur on the sights).

I was on-line about a year and a half ago when Tod announced the meet. I had completely lost touch with the Heads. Two minutes later Mark Oatis replies and says he'll be there. The interconnection was stunning. I thought I've got to find a way to that meet. So we'll be there and to stay. I just recently finished doing some interviews in Lodi. I'm working on gathering Letterhead oral history documentation. Please find me and my recorder at the Zoo meet. The thing will be on for anyone wanting to share Letterhead memories, histories, impressions and inspirations. I'll even have an extra recorder if someone else finds their self within earshot of some valuable spoken memories and needs to borrow it.

I'll be arriving early on Thursday, a day ahead of the meet. Can anybody suggest some things for a lone letterhead to do that day in Cincinatti? (museums, etc). I wont have a car, so I'm dependent on public transportation. (unless you know a play in Cin. that rents bicycles)

Yeeeeahh Dave! You know, just yeah! I like the airy quality of the design. It seems to capture the dignity of a hundred years. It really has an open fresh quality that leads the eye around gently. Can't wait to see the gold version.

Scooter, You can visit Union Terminal - it is the old train station that now houses Natural History and Childrens museums and IMAX theater. Also in downtown is the Freedom Center - a museum to the Underground Railroad. Across river in northern Kentucky is Newport on the Levee which has The Newport Aquarium, as well as shops and restaurants. Have fun!

Raymond, You had better be there! Who else would give your seminar? Maybe we will have to find a Cracker Barrel with rockers. Saw Bob Gilliland in Lodi and he and his wife will be in Cinn. also.100 years, I don't think many of us will be around for the other magazines 100th!This is one that should be great and not missed. Coming down from Lodi and right back up for the Zoo.
