Randy..why not just buy the "latest and greatest"?
For $200 for the upgrade version you get everything included and it is guaranteed legitimate.
I figure it is the best deal around.
There are people who pay THOUSANDS of dollars for signmaking progams..a couple of hundred for CorelDraw is cheap!
I'd like to say that version X3 paid for itself in the first week I had it...but it didn't..only because everything I did with it that week was a rehash of older files..BUT I know that it will pay for itself the first time someone sends me an up-to-date AI file or an X3 CDR file. I won't have to call em up and apologise for being "behind the times".
If you still want ver 12 off the internet..go for it. It was a good version.

Hiya Randy, Since it's an "old" version, there's a good chance that it is legitimate. But, as with any purchase, do your homework and check out the seller before you make the purchase. Some of the scams I've seen are the software was a foreign language only version, OEM versions with no support or updates available from the software publisher and just hacked copies, but I'm sure there are other scams too.
Havin' fun,

The software that I have bought off of eBay is 5 different PhotoShop's (4, 5, 5.5, & 7), Macromedia Director, QuickBooks Pro 5, QuickBooks 2002, 3x QuickBooks 2004 (2 from the same person), CorelDraw 9 Suite, and it seems like there was some more. I was able to register all but the QB 2004.
I got burned on one of the QB 2004 and that was because it was too cheap to be true. When I got it, I could see that it was a pirated version. I let the guy know that I was expecting a legal copy. He just came back with "What did you expect for that little of price."
I emailed Ebay, QB's, and anyone else that I think of. The guy gave me bad feedback. I replied with "I didn't know you were selling COPIES of QuickBooks. That is a felony." He is no longer registered with eBay.

Randy, use the "ask the seller a question" button, and ask them if it is a legit registerable program or had you "better not register it" and see how he replies, or if he replies.
I've got some well priced perfectly legit programs including Quickbooks 02, Kai's Powertools,(plug ins) and others, including the box and documentation, and prices too good to be true but they were. The vendor is some cases bought a bulk lot cheaply from a liquidation sale, and was reselling them.
