Enjoy the lead Jay. You and your pink team will need it. You won't be there for long.
I've had to hold my team back just to give you other leaders a fighting chance.
We are counting the hours until next week!!!!

Ray - we only have three days - maybe four if some folks stick around on Monday. We'll brush the fancy stuff over our base coats (what we use the mask for) so there will be brushwork involved - but with the potential for bad weather or other unforeseen issues (and with so much damn text!!), this is good planning as much as it is a deference to technology.
We'll explain WHY we're doing WHAT we're doing to people who inquire - or point out that we're "cheating" - but reality dictates here. Do Letterheads look worse if they don't get done on time - or better if they do? I have to balance those issues due to the timeline.
We'll still be tricking things out with freehand brushwork (and doing some pictorial things) - but since my panels are using the factory black as a background - projecting the design would be tough. I don't have time to coat the background first and wait for it to dry - then do everything the next few days - so I opted for the factory black and the mask. It will last a long time too - especially since I have a north facing wall.
One point of note... I am using OneShot paints!! Does that help?

Ahhhh, give the man a break Raymond, when you go up against the Dansky, you gotta pull up all the tricks you can get your hands on. You can bet he will be......pulling tricks I mean.....but then some of his crew may have a few of their own up their sleeves

Next thing you know, Ray, Letterheads will start buying routers to cut their letters and signs out!!
(You'll be happy you joined the 'router club', Ray. I promise you it will change your business - and make you work less if you want to. It will be one of the best decisions you ever made.)
Wish you could be in Lodi.

Will the Can'ehdian wall (with some U.S. defectors) be done first?
Will Dan get across the border safely again?
Will anybody do a giant digital print instead of using paint?
Will the Lodi Fire Dept. drown any hecklers attacking the Team Pink wall?
Will the bank quit asking Jay to change this - and change that?
Will Gary Anderson finish first?
Will Dan really let his team members go 'pee' once a day - or will he crakc the whip he carries?
Is Tony really going to add another 50 feet to Dan's wall (just over 15 meters I think, Dan) when Dan arrives in Lodi?
Will Jay's paint mask arrive on time - or will he be forced to work in a more traditional fashion?
STAY TUNED!!! Or go to Lodi and find out for yourselves. The more, the merrier!!!
One week and counting.
What a lucky town to have such fun headed its way!!! Outdoor Walldog events sponsored by towns or cities are THE ULTIMATE in fun. Hope some of you on the fence about attending change your minds and come anyway.
Be sure to thank Tony Segale for all his hard work preparing for our attendance.

Sure, Jay...it sounds reasonable to me. I know how it is. When you bite off more than you can chew you have to cheat.
Wonder if we will hear next..."well, the mask never arrived, so we couldn't finish." At least you are always good for a laugh in those pink shorts - the weekend won't be a complete loss. Maybe you could do some motocycle stunts to help entertain everyone.
If I didn't have a wedding that weekend I would run over and do it all free hand for you. Showcards were my specialty at one time so I am used to doing all that little lettering. Hey, I'm beginning to sound like that old Harper guy.
Hope you all have a great time. I really hate to miss this one...but I'll catch up with you at the zoo. I'm sure that the stories will still be fresh enough to distinguish the truth from the lies...i.e. Jay's stories as opposed to Dan's stories. Now, you will have to figure out which is which.

Dan, your ahead of Jay now...we just finished painting two coats of solid primer on your wall..all ready for you...though you might have to paint the entire wall. (thanks for the generous tip)
Jay, your puzzle is to confusing, maybe you know somebody who can install your panels properly? I'll call Dan and see if he can bring the welder.

Tony... if you need a hand on Jay's mural let me know as I will have plenty of time to spare. I know he may just crack under the pressure.
It sounds like Jay's mural is more of a jigsaw puzzle than a mural. And here I thought walldoggin was about painting.

Ouch. Try something different and everybody starts getting nervous!!! You'll see. You'll see.
Y'know, I shouldn't have painted those concentric red and white circles on my back. I'm getting hit from all sides and that target is getting worn!! OUCH!!
If it rains, I'll have the last laugh - and be the first done.
Like a Boy Scout.....be prepared!!! We may still hand letter. That's up to my 'team'. But I'm prepared for the worst - and the best.
But we're swamped here at work!!!! I need more time before the meet!!!!
