A Scion reminds you of a Lamborghini? I'll take a Lamborghini please....
Deri...I think those Scions are ugly too....I walked up to one once and looked inside and thought the interior looked kind of neat...probably fun to drive...but yeah, it's like a Wheaties box with wheels on it.
Lamborghini on the other hand....oooh baby.

Scion's are nice,,They do not have them wonderfull lines. But as a bizz vehicle they are just abotu perfect. They can carry a load of supplies, Are comfortable, use little gas and run great. Plus there is LOTS of room to put graphics on it. Someday if I ever get the chance to need a bizz vehicle. that will be the one.

Yes Jeff. I was notified by Roland some time ago about it (because I had finally gotten my moth eatin wallet out and invested some $ in my business) then Canadian Signcrafters sent me a flyer. Then I got my new SignCraft yesterday and the contest is on pg 14 (May/June Issue). I kinda figured it was part of the challenge, but thinking about it does bring to mind the "Wheaties box" toaster and fridge.

Hey Deri, We bought one too. Funny thing is, I started out thinking the same as you... Butttt ugly. I didn't want anything to do with it. I got in one just to humor my wife and say I tried. But once you get in one,it sells itself; roomy as all outdoors, very peppy for 4 cylinders, kicka** stereo with mp3 compatible cd player and even an auxillary input for your mp3 player. And the 31 MPGs/city ain't bad either. Easy to find in a large parking lot too.

I followed one of those things into a drive-thru this morning, wanting to get something like breakfast. As soon as I saw it, I thought, "OH Gawd, this guy is gonna take forever to make up his mind"...and I was correct!!!!
Those things are now on my official list, just like Volvo's and KIA's...

And this is where Scion has done a great job in the marketing of the vehicle to the public. Good, bad, or otherwise, look how much the general public talks about it. Just the word of mouth discussions will make people look at them, even if it just to see how ugly they are. BTW, I would not own something that is the 2006 version of the Pacer.

...WELL, I keep wondering if you open the hood....are you gonna find a big ol' Paul Bunyun size pair of boots in that shoebox?
Yet, there is something intriguing about that vehicle....I bet it's really fun to drive...and as far as a great vehicle for graphics....you probably can't get much better than that...It must only have 2 compound curves to contend with.

It probably would get 40 MPG if weren't for the WIND DRAG. I think it's one of those so ugly it's cute. For just plain ugly, how about the HHR? Gag.

They definitely have personality... Isn't that what you always say when describing a girl that you really don't think is attractive, but you don't want anyone to know that you really think she's ugly?
The old blind date question/answer: Hey, what does she look like? Answer: Well, ah, she's got a great personality!
It would be the greatest challenge to make THAT car look good with a graphics design package.
Good Luck everyone who enters that contest.

I disagree with you OP, the 2CV is an extremely lovable car. When I grew up, it was very popular among the hippie generation, and often very colourfully painted.
If you want ugly foreign car, try the Fiat Doblo. Ugh!

Haven't got a picture of it, but I saw a Scion at the Mall of Georgia a few months ago that had a full wrap on it.
What really made me think "Oh my god, now I've seen it all!" is when I noticed the bottom of the car. The idea was that it had been in a box that had been torn away to reveal the car. The digitally printed packing material was... COROPLAST!
Probably would been cheaper to glue REAL coroplast onto it, but it would still be fugly.
Still holding out for the 2007 Challenger... Rapid

Lotti, FIAT means Fix It All the Time. Ernie had 2- I became a pro push starting it when we were dating. They were so bad and unsafe that the USA has banned the sale of them in the USA.

LOTTI.. i have to disagree, the 2cv interior was a real piece of work...front seat was nothin more then a metal bench with material sewn on it no springs or foam!@!

I know, OP, but it has character. Driving a 2CV was a statement. Kind of like wearing ragged clothing, not because you can't afford anything better. Do you know what I mean?
Hey Diane, I owned two Fiats in my life and they were not that bad. The first one was a 127 Sport and the other one a Ritmo 125. That was one extremely ugly car too, but fun to drive.

I also owned a couple of VW Rabbits. I remember severely embarrassing a 260Z driver in a little street racing. I think he was ready for the quickness, it was the getting oubraked that caused him trouble

Hey George - you're either being sarcastic about the quickness....or didn't own the diesel...hehehe.
The gas ones weren't too bad for power...but that diesel.......boy-oh-boy......you had to make sure that no vehicles were visible before pulling out onto the street....they were sooooooooo slowwwwwww. That was one vehicle I never took a chance with.
The mileage was pretty darn good though.

I think that over in Asia somewhere when they are having their morning fishheads and rice they try to think up cars that no one would possibley be crazy enough to buy i.e. Scion and Honda Element and make bets that if they build them some puddy headed American will buy them. Well, they were right. When I was a kid we used to beat these kinds of people up on the way home from school.

Yeah they could have gotten an uglier vehicle, lots of them to choose from like H2, HHR, SSR, Element, anything made by Daewoo, Dakota or Durango (what was Daimler smoking?) and the list goes on and on. No I'm not a Scion fan either.

Speaking of aesthetically challenged vehicles, three years ago, when my wife and I were in California for a few days, the rental car company kept trying to push off a Pontiac AzWreck on us, offering a very nice rate. My wife wasn't about to get in the car. I told her: "No one here knows us." She said it was still too ugly. We rented something else.
