I just got my issue of Signcraft and John Deaton is on the cover and there is a great article about him inside. Bob Behounek has an article in it also. Never had the pleasure of meeting either of these gentlemen, but I have only heard good things about them both. Congratulations you guys!

Congratulations John...mine hasn't arrived yet, but I know it will be great.
Bob has been a regular contributor to SignCraft almost since day one. He is not only a great designer but a very humble person to be around. If you want to know anything, just ask and he will share everything he knows about the subject.
Tomorrow I leave for Fort Worth and some workshops. One is on the use of clip art and I've used one of John's "Vehikles" as an illustration. Hopefully, we might be able to head some folks in his direction.

It's just like the Academy Awards, you got to campaign for those things. I just realized my subscription has lapsed, time to re-up.

WTG JD3! You've attained your dream....what's next? A router? Seriously, Tater, I'm very proud of you. I'm also a big fan of Bob B., and got to meet him at the International in 2001. A very soft-spoken guy who is disgustingly talented. Love....Jill

Still waiting for the next issue of SignCraft here... I got a tip from Tom McIltrot that John was to be on this cover a while back. I'm sure the honor is well deserved!
Looking forward to seeing it soon. Congratulations John!!

Im about as tickled as heck! You just dont know how that makes this country boy feel seeing something he did on the cover of a magazine he has been reading and wearing out for the last 15-20 years. Tom and John at Signcraft have been good to me over the years and its always been a kick to see my signs in there amongst people like Bob Behounek, Raymond Chapman, Dan Sawatzky,Todd Hanson, and many others. Its one of those good todays today in the shop. Thanks everyone.

If you haven't already, think about getting reprints of the magazine to share with the local news media and prospective customers. Signcraft might be able to whip up and digitally print a file that is just the cover and the feature.
Make sure that visitors can also download it from your website. Signcraft can probably supply a PDF. BTW...your /coolstuff page needs updating.

Congrats John. Watch giving copies to your customers. The "What's it cost to make this sign" section might be more than they need to see. That's the only part of SignCraft I don't like. When I want to show my customers the mags I don't want them seeing what it cost to make them!
Congrats again!
