Anyone using Poster Shop have a suggestion on color control. All of my RGB Tiff files created from scanned photos in Adobe Photoshop print accurate on my Roland Soljet with selected media and profiles.
However on the new flatbed I'm getting a greenish hue to the prints. It appears to be an oversaturation of the cyan. Is there a tweak in Photo Shop or should the corrections be made in Onyx Poster Shop?
I just got up and running and havent had near enough time to read up on the Onyx software.
Thanks in advance.

Hiya Bob, I'm not sure if this whill help, but while you're in photoshop, try changing the image profile there. Its under Image/Mode/assign or convert profile. Also, check the printer or Onxyx's website to make sure you're using the most recent profiles for the flat bed printer. I have a feeling that flatbed printing is going to be a little bit of a challenge because there aren't many, if any, rigid substrates that are "profiled". You'll probably have to make your own.
Good luck,

Bob, Did you try a different profile for the image? How did it work?

Still working on it Brian. Right now I'm just going over the operation of the printer before the tech leaves. Later I'll start trying other settings or call Onyx if that doesnt work.

I'd work on the color adjustment within Poster shop (I always hated that RIP) .
Wou don't want to have to make adjustments within the app and run the risk of having real diffences in color between your two print devices. Chances are the same logo or file will be printed on both machines.
What flatbed did you get Bob?

Mike I went with the RasterPrinter 720 UVz a six color printer. It's been a frustrating hell of a ride thusfar but we are finally getting it close to dialed in.
My problems it turns out are not machine related but rather dealer related. As of today I am far more optimistic about its future. The learning curve with any new technology is very trying at best.

I have Postershop and I typically must make a custom color profile for any new media. It's a pain in the butt to read all the little color squares with a colorimeter, however that's your only real chance at having consistent color output. ONYX is likely to tell you just that if you call them.
I like Checkers solution. Try various profiles that you already have. You might get lucky. I've taken that same approach at times and once in a while it works out.
Good luck.
