I've recently moved to the Lake George area and I need to buy a 4x8 aluminum blank.I can't find anyone in the area and no one will ship that type of material unless I buy a full pallet- around six or seven hundred dollars worth! Dose anyone know of any suppliers in the Warren or Saratoga county areas?

Hi Philip, I don't do much in aluminum, so I can't help you there.

Just wanted to say hi, and welcome to the North Country. I am about 1 1/2 hours north of you.

Where did you move from?

I belive Phil Stephan? is near you. Maybe he could help?

Peace out,
Bob

Hi Bob, I moved from North Reading MA. about 20 miles north of Boston.I grew up in Melrose MA.and enjoyed the Boston area but not as much as Lake George! We bought a home in Hague for vacations but decided to bite the bullet and move up with our friends in Hague,it's been fun but not much work.Hopefully the work will pick up and things will be even more fun.I would like to come up and see your shop some day and say hi, I'll get your phone no. from your web site.

Philip, welcome to the adirondacks.

Give Harbor a try at www.HarborSales.com

I know at one time their truck delivered once a week up in this area (or at least pretty close to where you could meet the truck). At no charge.

And they carry just about any substrate you need, including aluminum.

Again, welcome.

So who do you guys know personally we can call or e-mail info about Letterville? In our experience, a cold call to most companies Marketing Dept result in reaching someone's voice mail. They seldom call back. Makes you wonder. Why call yourself a Marketing Dept if you are not interested in Marketing?

We want to make sure someone that can make decisions at Garston or Harbour reads this post, and learns that Letterville is already working on their behalf. Thousands of sign shops around the World have already read, or are reading this right now. If Garston checks it's website, they will see a substantial increase in traffic since this was posted.

Here's the deal. If you believe Garston, or any other supplier, has a product or service that will benefit our users, make them aware of Letterville.

Since you are actually doing the sales legwork for us, we will send you out $50US. Just have them mention your name when they call us.

Here is who I use for most sign supplies. You get a person if you call, not a voice mail. I don't know what kind of aluminum your looking for (how thick) but one of these guys may help.

Hart Supply: 800-822-4280 delivers Mon & Wed
N. Glantz & Sons: 800-322-9830 delivers Fridays I think
New England Sign Supply: 800-343-5870 delivers tues & thursdays

Don't know if they make it up to Lake George or not.

Randy- where you out of in S. Glens Falls, Wheres your shop? I don't recognize the name.

And Steve- I have mentioned Letterville to all of the merchants above, and have even given your email to the guys at Hart supply. I guess they don't need extra business. But call any number above and you'll get a live person.

Phil Steffen in Glens Falls.

Hey Phil,

You probably don't recognize the name because I don't advertise...well, at least not in the paper, yellow pages, tv, or radio (although I am supposed to be on the Adirondack Chamber radio show this weekend!)

I work out of my home on a dead end residential street, so I don't even have a sign out front! The only advertising is my truck (getting old and needs to be redone), my website, my postcards, and my email campaigns.

I'm also not really a "sign shop", but more of a promotional company. I do use my PC-60 quite a bit, however, for vinyl signs and vehicles.

Hope to meet you sometime soon.
