Hi,
I have corel 8 and may finally buy x3. I saw article in signcraft and wonder if the scan program is as good as he said it is now.
I came across a message on another board when I tyed in x3 and the guy said small text does'nt show well unless outlined and then it looks to bold. Any comment on that?
So, I have two questions there.

Hi Jerry,

Trace is much improved. Beats the pants off anything else I've seen. The upgrade is well worth it for that feature alone.

As for small text I think it depends on which view you chose to look at. I prefer 'enhanced' but I think 'enhanced with outline' is the new default view, the person on the other board may not be aware that you can select different view settings in Corel.

Probably just because I'm not used to all the "tweak" settings in X3, but I still prefer vectorizing in Casmate PRO. I've found a lot fewer nodes. I don't really use any vectorizing software for fonts, anyway. Just graphics.

I installed x3 last month and absolutly loved the upgrades to trace, it finaly works the way it should... yipee
*btw, I have been an advacate of corel for a very long time

I sadly had to uninstall x3 because of a conflict with my corel embroidery software... DRAWings only likes v12 [Frown]

so until I can upgrade the embroidery stuff to the new release for x3 expected next month... I'm stuck with v12 trace

but ya get that

so my short answer is... yep x3 trace is a blast!

cheers
