I don't know, Stephen. From what I can gather from his website, he's not suggesting that what he does is creative. Photo retouching is an artform just like signwork...or just like signwork used to be. <------wink...just kidding.
You're amazed he's commanding that kind of money fixing other people's stuff when signpeople don't command it for work they produce from scratch.
Retouching actually is a pretty skilled service. Yeah you could get by doing a quick 5 minute clone and heal job but to really do it right, I have spent as much as 3 hours on one face.
Of course I try to nail the image straight from the camera but.. ya know... some people just don't know how ugly they really are and they want to be made into a playboy centerfold.
It just proves that all the skinny big-boobed bimbos in the magazines have more faking goin on than just their personalities.
