Greetings! Thanks again for all the wishes!
It was a nice day. I took the day off and was at Cody's school in the AM for a Read-a-thon they had going. Very cute, everyone grouped in the gym, they turned out the lights, everyone brought their own quilts and teddys and whatnot, and someone read one story to the works by means of a lamp and rocking chair, with an overhead projector showing the pictures. Clever! Then Cody's age group read for an hour. And my boy read nearly every single minute of that hour!
School wasn't done for the day yet, so I scooted off to Homesence, my fav store of totally useless house trinkets, and found nothing but had just as much fun looking. And treated myself to a Wendy's chicken mandarin salad (oh yum! gotta try it!). Then picked up cody, and we scooted off to grandma's where she treated us to dinner.
A neighbour had just brought over warm cupcakes for me so I brought those along too. Nice neighbour huh?
And tomorrow I'm going out of town to pick up my bday gift. I treated myself to 6 gorgeous black distressed windsor style chairs, with the taller egg shaped backs. And am going to sell my oak ones at the neighbourhood garage sale on Sat, so perfect timing! And Fri, will visit a girlfriend in the same town as the chair pickup, then race home to get cody and go to another girlfriend's place for a pizza dinner. Yep, it's tough having a decent social life! LOL
