It appears that the Avery EZ series is now off the market and can no longer be sold.

The letter I received says that 3M is actually trying to extend the liability of distributing the EZ vinyl onto us (the end user) and Avery is fighting to protect us!

Then I heard today that 3M has raised their prices!

not pretty.

What's wrong with this picture? Something's rotten in Denmark ...or Pasadina. I don't know what 3M is up to but it sure sounds out of character to me for them to put the shaft to us; they have always been top shelf in my book - something I *can't* say about Avery.

Yes 3M has raised it's prices. And so hasn't everything else petroleum based.

Sounds interesting, can you post the letter?

I knew Avery's EZ was in trouble over patent conflicts, but hadn't heard anything more than that.

I've been using the
Avery EZ for my digital printing and I like it. Like 3M needs to worry about making more money.

It does refer to our right as a "distributor". We are just a shop, so maybe they mean that they will try and hit any distributors that have EZ stock (which they purchased), who try and sell that remaining stock.

It's still B.S. all the way around the block. One product uses "X"'s and the other uses "O"'s. How different can you get? It's obviously not the same product since you can't see the adhesive pattern on the face of the Avery, yet it's very visible on the Face of 3M comply.

Eliminate the competetion and then increase the price for your product. One would think that their sales would have to increase expotentially now that the cometing line was eliminated, but they are getting a little greedy in my eyes. I personally am not happy with either of the companies. With all of Avery's adhesive problems, they've made a habit of raising prices about 4 times in the last 2 years.

Oracal is looking pretty good at this point.
