Last night we had some bad storms come through the Mid-South area. All of them missed us but just to the North they got it bad. The death toll stands at 23 and counting. NE Arkansas, the Missouri Bootheel were hit and the rural areas around Dyersburg, Tn. getting the worst of it.
I have to hand it to the local news, their weathermen were on top of it all night.

Scary stuff George... I have family in Warren County, OH and I read in the AP reports that there was damage there. I checked and they're all okay.

We haven't had anything like that but it's been raining here for over a month with no end in sight. We've broken all kinds of records. [Frown]

We have tornado watches here in Wayne and Holmes Counties of Ohio until 5 today (so far). Was 63 this morning then this wind and storms roll in and it is to be 30 and snow overnight. Been blowing 20-40 mph all day.

If sign makers go on strike, is there anything written on their picket signs?

Kimberly, are you sure you aren't describing BC?!?

I feel for you! We had about 30 straight days a couple months ago and it was a VERY long month! Lego, playdoh and puzzles found their way to the table tops again. [Smile]

George - was bored last nite watchin the weather on all the TV channels so decided to drive around & watch the lightening storm - went to Tunica where I could see over the levee's - serious lightening everywhere but only a few sprinkles of rain - was only mildy curious at that point - didn't hear about the tragedies till this morning - talked to family in Jonesboro first thing this morning after I heard & they were unscathed - just heavy rain at their place -
I checked out Hollywood Casino - wanted to see their memorabilia - they 've got some nice Elvis items - the racecar he drove in "Spinout" & clothes & jewelry, a Batmobile, replica "Back to the Future" DeLorean - nothing that special - very few people there - I actually left with $2 more than I walked in the door with !!!!

CJ, I'll holler at you later in the week.

We got spared last night as everything was either below us or above us. I just hate it those poor folks in upper West Tenn. got clobbered again.

I feel so fortunate. We spent the night on Beale street. Denise's son is a musician and played the Hard Rock Cafe last night. His buddy, a bass player from Lexington, Ky., came down and played with the band. My son and his girlfriend along with one of his buddies and his girlfrined came too. A very, very fun evening all around for us [Smile]
