I wouldn't really ever want to be anybody else than me, even with all my shortcomings. I would, however, love to be able to go back in time. Not to live (read no or spotty indoor plumbing, no electricity) but just to be a face in a crowd somewhere, observing. Then I would be: In my great-great grandfather's tent as he camped in various places during the Civil War... In the Model T Ford with my grandparents as they ran bootleg booze down from Canada in the 1920s... And on the riverboat during the 1880s with my other great-great grandfather. Love....jill

Carl, he was 18 years old, in the 101st PA Infantry...he was shot in the chest at Seven Pines/Fair Oaks. The bullet remained in him until it caused his death in 1900. He was at Andersonville until February 1865 after being captured at the battle of Plymouth. I know this from letters he wrote home, and his Civil War records.
Thanks for asking! The riverboat grandfather was named "Cap" Sutton, he married a Native American woman from Mississippi. I only have family lore to go by on that story. Love....Jill

You know, just thinkin'maybe it would have been a blast to be Stan Laurel, of "Laurel & Hardy". Or... Ken Kesey, of the "Merry Pranksters". Or... Mayor LaGuardia, who read the funnies on sunday mornings for the kids.( there was no TV then, only the theatre of the mind )
